Chapter 26

I was still on my dreamless sleep when I felt an arms embracing me tightly. It's so tight that I'm soffocated with it. I moan in pain and tried to remove the arms snake around me but no effect. After many tries it was still around me.

"Adrianna, let her go, she's still sleeping." the familiar cold voice said. Who's that again?

"Fuck off. Stop calling me that!

"It's not a nickname, it's your second name."

Whose voices are those? It's still early for a quarrel. I twist my body to turn around but I was stopped by the same arms again. Laurence's familiar scent invaded my nostrils the moment I saw her lying beside me arms on my waist.

"It's still morning. Why are you two fighting?" tanong ko at humikab.

Arms are crossed, Chaos Andrade was looking at his wife with his normal expression. Cold. But you can see the happiness with his irises.

"Morning? It's already passed 2pm. What did you do last night for you to wake up this late?" bumangon si Laurence kaya napabangon din ako at hinanap ang cellphone sa nightstand.

"Namamahay." I lied.

I search for my phone and double tap the screen to look at the time. 2:29pm was in large font size written on my lockscreen. I slap myself mentally.

"I'll wait you downstairs, Adrianna." I smiled apologetically at my best friend's husband. He nodded as a reply.

I heard the door's lock click before I sigh. I felt guilty because it seems like I'm stealing Laurence from him on their first day as husband and wife.

"Why are you here? You should be with your husband right now. It's still you hon—" she cut me off by putting her hand on my mouth.

"If your talking about honeymoon, I'm fucking done with it last night! My body's aching like hell!"

I didn't expect her to be blunt like that! I didn't even expect her to answer me!

"Geez! I just don't want to see him right now, I might kill that asshole! I didn't even get enough sleep because he didn't let me sleep! That motherfucker!" her rant goes on.

Uhh, she doesn't look happy to me. She's ranting over and over and all I did was listen to her until I finished my morning routines, though it's not morning anymore. I cleaned the whole room and put my things inside my bag before shutting up my best friend's mouth and pull her outside the room.

"Stop that! Consider my situation, please, I don't want to hear anything anymore. Just please, that's too much information."

"Yeah, sure but my back's aching for leaning backwards. Damn it!"
