Chapter 21

I never knew that a first day of school could be this tiring. I'm so drained from introducing yourselves and mini activity called 'Getting to know each other for a better year!'. Kailangan pa ba iyon? I maybe look friendly but I'm good on my own bubble.

Madaling natapos ang isang linggo na wala namang halos ginagawa. I'm just getting tired for nothing. This free week was expected but still I'm getting bored getting up and going here. Or maybe I'm just missing the old color of my day. Those senior days of mine were unforgettable and I'm looking for that hype. I'm missing Laurence. I'm not use to places where she's not around.

I grabbed my Louis Viutton bag just above my desk and fixed my hair before walking towards our room's door. I ignored the cat-like eyes eyeing me to where I go.

"Remember Jin? The rumors said that they are together!"

"Really? But Jin doesn't look a serious type. Konting flirt lang sure akong bibigay 'yon!"

"Duh! He looks like he's not enjoying her. She's so boring kaya."

"But he's posting her pics on his IG!"

"That's what normal boyfriends do, girl. Para hindi mahalata 'di ba?"

I'm getting to use in that surroundings. There's nothing important from leaving this four-walled room. I twisted the knob and left the room. I'm not a dog to bark back. Hindi naman ako nasaktan.

"How was your day?"

Kailan ko pa ba siya naging driver? Simula noong magpasukan ay palagi niya akong sinusunod sa bahay. At sa hapon naman ay nauunang matapos ang class hours niya kaya naghihintay siya dito.

"Stop asking how was my day you'll just get the same answer. Walang nanliligaw o kumuha ng number ko. There's no one ask me to eat with them after the class. No one ask me to watch a movie. None." I sighed in defeat and shook my head.

Minsan talaga ang gulo niya kausap. One time he will act like everything's good then another time he'll asked me unending questions which only made him pissed. If he didn't reject me the first time I confessed then I will assume that he's jealous but yeah, who am I kidding?

"Tsk. Whatever,"

"You hungry?" he added.

I nodded my head a bit and turned to him. He was busy looking outside while maneuvering the wheels.

"A lil bit."

Sa isang coffee shop kami tumigil. Malapit lang ito sa school kaya may iilang naka-uniform din katulad ng sa 'kin ang mga nandito.

"I'll order, go find us a table."

Hindi na ako nakipagtalo kahit gusto kong ako ang pumila at bumili. Tipid akong tumango at sinabi ang gusto ko. I picked the table near the glass wall. Maganda kasi ang sikat ng araw kahit hapon na.

"Heres your shortcake ang cold coffee." I smiled widely and accepted my order from him.

"Thank you,"

We started eating in silence. There are times that I caught him staring at me and when he noticed that I was looking at him, he will smiled like a shy boy and continue sipping on his cold coffee.

"What?"

This is the umpteenth time I caught him.

"H-huh? What what?"

"You keep on staring. You wanna say something? What is it?"

I ate the piece of cake on my fork still eyes on him. Not leaving my sight on him 'cause he's really acting so strange today.
