Chapter Fifteen - An Absolutely Hilarious Halloween

As October 31st approaches, lessons slowly become more relaxed and you can feel the anticipation for the hectic holiday begin to grow through the school. On Halloween, we're allowed to wear our Halloween costumes to classes, and James came up with the perfect idea for all of ours...

It's a bit risky, not going to lie, but it will be so much fun! At lunch a couple of days ago, James came up with the idea of dressing up as over-exaggerated versions of the Slytherins! I cannot wait to see their faces when they see our costumes! There's always a massive afterparty in the Gryffindor common room on Halloween night, following the Halloween Feast, and we'll wear different costumes then. So, James suggested that idea, but then Sirius came up with another one. "How about some of us goes as the Slytherins and some of us go as professors?" he said, and in the end it was agreed that Sirius will be attending classes dressed as Professor McGonagall (due to his hair length he's able to put it into a tight bun!) and Remus will be going as Professor Dumbledore! Oh, this will be hilarious!

Mar decided to go as Bellatrix Black, Marly decided to go as Snape (oh, this will be funny!), I'm going as Narcissa Black, Ali is going as Rodolphus Lestrange, Frank is going as Leonardo Zabini, Pete is going as Alexander Avery and James is going as Lucius Malfoy! I know that Narcissa and Lucius aren't at school anymore, but it's just too irresistible to impersonate them! The next couple of days leading up to Halloween are pretty good; some professors are letting us relax and chill a little bit, we're getting less homework and we all make our plan our Halloween costumes. Finally, the much anticipated day rolls around, and I am so excited!

I hear a crash coming from downstairs, and I wake up with a jolt. What's going on? I quickly rush down the stairs in my pyjamas to find James Potter laying at the bottom of his staircase laughing his (really cute) head off, wearing only a pair of school trousers and showing off his Quidditch-player abs spectacularly. I know, I know! I'm still not over him! But I'm working on it - it's just so damn hard when he keeps doing stuff like this! I walk over to him, and say, "So...ummm...what?". He takes a look at my face and begins to laugh even harder. "Morning Lils!" he says, grinning. "Morning James!" I reply, rolling my eyes at his antics. "Happy Halloween!" he adds, beginning to get to his feet. I say it back, after reaching down and helping him get to his feet. "Are you ok?" I ask, worried for him. If he fell down all of those stairs, that would really hurt! James nods his head and grins wildly. "Right! I cannot wait to come down to breakfast wearing our costumes! This is going to be fucking awesome!" he says, and I laugh and nod my head. "Here James, have you showered? Because I kind-of need to go in there to shower-" I say, and James nods his head. "Yep, showered and all! Now, I just need to charm my hair so that it is a shining platinum blonde and then I shall be ready!" he says, and I grin before heading into the bathroom, having just ran up and grabbed some towels from my bedroom.

When I enter the bathroom, I quickly shower (just normally - nothing strange or exciting here!) and then dry my body and change into my dressing gown. "Ok Lily! You can do this!" I quietly mutter to myself, before closing my eyes and turning my fiery red hair (which I love!) into a platinum blonde which literally glows. For our costumes, we decided to heighten the qualities of the person we are impersonating. For example; Narcissa Black's hair is a platinum blonde, so I am going to make it as blonde as I possibly can and then I'm going to make it glow. James is doing the same because Narcissa and Lucius' hair is the same. It is kind-of weird, James and I playing a couple, but it'll be good, because we know their tendencies better than anyone else in our group except for Sirius, who declared that he was playing McGonagall - end of discussion! 

After I change my hair, I step out of the bathroom and head up to my bedroom to get changed. Narcissa Black usually would just wear a white shirt, and a tight skirt under her Slytherin school robes, so I just wear that. She ALWAYS wears high black heels though, so I transfigured a pair of my own shoes into them while changing my Gryffindor robes to Slytherin ones - that pained me, I won't lie! I put on some heavy mascara and glitter eyeshadow, along with some overlined pink lips - Narcissa's signature look, only magnified! After taking one last look in the mirror, I grab my schoolbag and leave my bedroom. I descend the spiral stairs leading from my private bedroom to the common room, and when I arrive at the bottom I see the strangest sight ever!
