Chapter 6-Hardin

Today we find out the gender of our baby Tessa is 20 weeks the past few weeks have been good Emery has been great she has only had the odd tantrum but not as bad as they used to be she has got much better at telling us the problem we collect Emery from school and drive straight to the doctors "hey sweetie how was school"Tess asks her as she climbs in the car

"It was so good I won the class spelling bee"she says proudly "well done that's brilliant"Tessa tells her not trying to brag or anything but Emery is top of her class always ahead for everyone

We get to the doctors and she is called straight away thank god I hate waiting around " it's nice to see yous again"the nurse says and Tessa smiles "so are you finding out the gender today"

"Yes we're really excited"Tessa tells her "how can you see the baby"Emery asks

"I'm going to but this special gel on your mommy's tummy and that helps us see the baby"

"How is it magic"

"Shhh it is don't tell anyone"the nurse says and Emery's eyes go wide "would you like to help me"she asks and Emery nods jumping of my lap "put your hand there and we are going to move it slowly"Emery follows what the nurse does "there look on the screen"the nurse points "it doesn't look like a blob anymore it looks like a tiny person"Emery says her eyes lighting up and me and Tess laugh "now if you press that button you can hear the heartbeat"Emery presses the button and the heat beat fills the room "that's a strong heartbeat" the nurse tells us

I look to Tessa pushing her hair out of her face and she smiles at the gesture "we should be able to see the gender now"the nurse says "well congratulations yous are having a....boy"

"a boy Tess did you hear that a boy"I probably sound like a little kid but I don't care we have waited so long for this moment

"Yes this is the best news ever"Tessa starts crying and I hug her "what's wrong"I ask "I'm just so happy I never thought we would see this day"

"How do you know it's a boy"Emery asks "we can see on the screen"The nurse tells her "but like how"

"Em we talked about this before how boys and girls have different parts"Tessa says "I forgot about that boys have ....a penis girls have a virgina now I understand"

"Yes Em but we said not to say it out loud"I try say to to her  "oh ye sorry"she giggles

"I'll give yous a minute"the nurse says leaving

"See I was right I said I'm going to have a baby brother"Em claps her hands in excitement I forgot all about the dream she had "mommy we have to go shopping"

"Why sweetie"

"Because we have to get a crib,stroller ,pacifiers baby clothes that's so much stuff we have to make a list we need to go soon we won't have time"I laugh at her she is just like Tessa with her lists

"We will definitely make a list when we get home of everything we need trust me"Tessa laughs and the nurse comes back she runs more tests and we got great news we can have sex again thank god Emery didn't hear she gives us a picture and the whole car ride Emery just keeps looking at the baby photo

I still can't believe we are having a baby boy a mini me or Tessa the rest of the way home in the car Emery was planning everything

When we get inside straight away Tessa has her laptop out and Emery has her notepad I had my laptop pretending to work but really I was listening to there conversation

"Mommy look at that that's so cute"

"Em isn't that the cutest"

"It is will definitely put that in the basket"

"Aw look at that"Emery points to the screen and Tessa said she is buying it god knows what there putting in the basket "let's go"Tessa jumps up

"Where"I dare ask

"Daddy we have to go get the baby stuff"Emery rolls her eyes

"Right now"

"Yes"they both say at the same time and Im running after them outside the front door they tell me to drive to the mall they know where there going

We arrive at the mall and they go straight into the baby shop "what exactly are you getting"I ask

"They have the crib and stroller here that I want I did my research on them we have to get them now before it's to late" After 20 minutes Tessa finds what she is looking for and also a bunch of other useless stuff I forgot baby stuff is expensive"When baby brother comes where is he going to sleep" Emery's asks as we sit down in the food court

"He is going to sleep in mommy and daddy's room"

"And when will he have his own room"

"When he is big enough to sleep through the night"

"Did I sleep through the night"she said us and Tessa laughs "You were just like your father we had to wake you up for a feed you would never wake up"Emery giggles "what's baby brothers name going to be"

"Were not sure yet do you have any ideas"I ask her "there was a name in a book I was reading what was it again.....oh yes Trevor"I nearly choke on my food fucking Trevor I think to myself "baby maybe a different name"Tessa says and I can see the smile playing on her lips "do yous not like the name"Emery sticks her bottom lip out I feel so bad but we aren't calling our baby Trevor "we do but we are just going to think of other names just incase"Tessa reassures her

I remember trying to pick Emery's names we went through all the names you could think of but me and Tessa both just couldn't find the perfect name I came up with Emery I don't even know where I got it from but the minute I said it Tessa loved it hopefully picking a boys names won't be as hard
