Chapter 74-Hardin & Tessa

"Jack and coke please"I ask the bartender "coming up"

I know it was a stupid fucking decision coming here but I don't care I needed a distraction usually Tessa is my distraction but not tonight I know she is probably pissed at me but what can I do she probably out looking for me but she won't find me my mum lives in a different area now Tessa won't know her way

I have already been here about one hour and I'm drunk I can barely sit in this bar stool "an...another"

"Sorry sir I think you had enough"the stupid prick tells me "I said another one"I slur

"Don't give him any more"a familiar voice says behind me "Theresa welcome"

"Are you kidding me"she spits "oh calm down sit down and join me"I pat the empty chair next to me "no get up now"

"I'm not a child"

"Well your acting like one"She crosses her arms "your so damn cute when your annoyed"I turn back around and I hear her huff and than a pinch on the back of my neck "ouch what the hell"

"Hardin I'm serious let's leave"

"You leave I don't want to"

"Are you stupid"she says I don't think I have ever seen her so infuriated "your mom and kids are back at the house let's go"

"I say No don't you understand"

"Your just been selfish"she says and I jump of the chair "I'm been selfish my mum is dying"I step closer to her and so does she and I can feel everyone's eyes on us "and your out her drinking it's pathetic"she says through her teeth

"That's why I'm drinking don't you understand I don't want to feel the pain I'm feeling"

"There's other ways to stop that besides drinking is this really the person you want to be"she looks at me with pleading eyes "go home"

"Fine I'll leave I hope your happy"she walks away damn it why didn't I just leave with her why did I come to this bar at all "Tessa wait"I try run after her but I keep stumbling

"No Hardin"she keeps walking faster down the street "wa..wait"

"Your drunk Hardin and don't you dare think your coming back to the house drunk"

"I'm not drunk"

"Your not drunk"she scoffs "I can smell it from here"

I follow her for about 20 minutes until we end up back at my mums house "please just let me come in"

"No"she hurry's to the door and I trip and fall at the gate I see a light turn on upstairs form the kids bedroom "there not seeing you like this"

Tessa

Im so annoyed at Hardin right now why did he have to do this and now the kids are up I don't want them to see him like this

"Come on Tessa let me just come inside I'll be quiet"he says "come in walk upstairs but don't even think about coming in the same room"

"Fine I won't but can you help me up the stairs"he says and I put his arm on my shoulder as we get inside and walk upstairs when we get to the top he turns into playful Hardin "come with with me Tessa"he grabs my waist

"No Hardin"

"I know you want to"he whispers "go to bed I open the door to the spare room and bring him inside trying to get him onto the bed to sleep but he drags me with him "Hardin let me go"I try to say stern "no sleep with me I get lonely"he pouts

"Too bad"I get out of his grip and jump if the bed usually I would give into him but tonight I'm not "fine I was just saying that I don't care if you stay here or not"suddenly he turns back into mean drunk Hardin "your pathetic"

"Whatever turn the light of when your going out"he gets himself comfy under his covers I walk out shutting the door leaving the light on "Tesssssa"I hear through the door "Mom what's wrong"I hear

"Jesus Emery you scared me why are you up"

"I heard you and dad why is he sleeping in there"she asks confused "nothing he is just sleeping in there for the night"

"He did something stupid didn't he"

"Ye....don't worry about it let's just go to bed"we back back into the bedroom Auden is still asleep his longs legs taking up the bed I move them over and  Emery gets in the middle and I get on the edge I turn around to look at Emery and Auden ,Emerys is still awake "Sleep sweetie"I rub her face and takes my hand in hers before closing her eyes

The next morning I wake up and go downstairs leaving the kids asleep I get Hardin a painkilller and a glass of water and walk up to his room and place them beside him he groans opening his eyes "what time is it"

"My heads killing me"he sits up and I hand him the water and painkiller "thanks" I go to walk away but he takes my hand and I sit back down "about last night..."He says and there's a knock on the door and Emery walks in "sorry am I disturbing"

"No of course not morning princess"Hardin says holding his arms out "dad you reek where you drinking"she says like she's his mom "I had a couple"

"I'm going downstairs"she turns on her feet quickly leaving the room "I'm going downstairs to don't bother coming down until you shower"I tell him I know I might be going hard on him if this was any other time I probably wouldn't be to annoyed buts it's the facts his dying mother is here and he decides to drink that's what made me so angry Trish will be devastated and I don't want him to loose the last time he has with her and regret it
