For mslionlylove

"And where do you think you're going?" Your mother stood by the door, hand on hip.

You smiled sweetly. "Just out.... with some friends." Before she could continue with any more inquisitions, you added quickly, "And I've finished cleaning the bathroom and my room, and I swept up the dining room." You ended by flashing her another smile.

She relented, sighing. "Alright. Be home by 7."

You quickly thanked her, hiking your little backpack up on your shoulder and rushing out the door.

You met Chris and your other friends at the little sand beach by the river.

"Hey, there." You were greeted with arms wrapping around your waist from behind you.

You turned to see Chris's blond head propped on your shoulder. "Hey." You smiled at the sight of him.

It was a widely known fact that you and Chris Chambers were going together. It had caused issues at first, but once your parents met him and found him to be sincere and trustworthy, no one seemed to care about his background in regards to your relationship.

You reached up and tousled his short hair. "Let me change, and we'll see about this current."

After the girls in the group had scampered back from their hiding/changing places, it was a matter of who would be the first one in.

"Teddy, you go," someone suggested.

Even crazy Teddy Duchamp looked doubtfully out at the swift water. "I don't know. That water is a little wild."

"Fine. Chris and I'll go," you volunteered. You looked over at your boyfriend. "Right?"

He grasped your hand. "Sure thing."

You two walked into the shallow part of the water, the water lazily rolling around your legs. Besides being a little chilly, neither of you understood why no one wanted to get in.

After seeing you and Chris begin swimming around, the rest of your friends joined in.

You all splashed and swam and did stupid water tricks. You got out to take a break from the water and began shivering. The sun was going down, and you were cold.

You wrung out your hair and grabbed an extra towel, wrapping it around yourself. You sat down on another towel, curling yourself under the towel around you.

Chris, noticing you weren't in the water, got out and ran over to you. He got a towel of his own and sat down by you. He laughed when he saw you shivering and put an arm around you. "Cold?"

You nodded, and he kissed you.

"Well, I guess I'll have to try and change that, huh?" He pulled you into his chest, and wrapping you in his arms and towel. "Is this any better?"

"Yes," you replied from under the warming layers.

You two stayed bundled together until the moon came out.

I'm so sorry how long it's taken me to write this and the ending is crap, but I hope you still like it. (I feel like this has been the first sentence to all of my author's notes...). I'm just happy I finished something. M'kay.
