Dylan

"I gotta get out of here. I gotta run," I spoke frantically, walking back and forth through the hotel room. Brooklynn's naked, pale, body laid there on the bed. I stared at her for a bit, making sure there was no movement, and there wasn't. I had killed her. Without contemplating, I quickly got some clothes out of the drawers and stuffed them in a bag before I raced downstairs. I didn't have the time to wait for the elevator. When I made it to the lobby, I frantically slammed the key card on the desk and ran toward the exit.

"Mr. Colbert your checkout date isn't to-"

I didn't even bother letting her finish. I raced to my car and started it before I dashed out of the parking lot.

"What the fuck. What the fuck were you thinking Dylan!" I spat from inside the car. Speeding down the road.

I could barely breathe, let alone focus on the road so I pulled the car over in an empty parking lot and rested my head on the steering wheel.

Just thinking about what I had done. I killed her. What was I thinking?

"Jen, will you please go run to Mr. Colbert room to see what's wrong. His checkout date isn't for two more months. It's strange that he'd just leave, and in such a hurry like that." Margaret spoke.

"I'll go right now."

Jen quickly walked to the elevator and pressed the button to the correct floor, number three. She stood there waiting for the elevator to reach its destination. When she had finally got to the correct floor, she waited for the elevator door to open, and she headed to the correct hotel room. She swiped the card inside the lock and it flashed green, indicating it was unlock, and okay for her to enter into the room.

As she whistled to the tone of Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, she began searching for things that might have been wrong. Jen remembered that the hotel had a problem with the pluming and since the bathroom was the closest, she walked in and checked to see if anything was wrong, but there wasn't.

As she continued to walk throughout the room, she finally made her way into the bedroom. The key card had effortlessly slid out of her grip and she let a horrifying scream leave her lungs. She ran to the door and opened it, finding someone standing outside the door.

Jen's body shook out of control and she fell into the arms of the person standing at the door. It was a young man, maybe around his early twenties. He lightly laid her body on the floor before walking to the room with the key he had possessed.

As he walked in, he headed straight to the bedroom, finding a young women's body laying on the bed. Her skin had been flushed and was a very light shade of blue. He raced to her and threw his arms around her before grabbing the cover and wrapping it around her body.

He picked up the phone that was on the nightstand and punched in some numbers before bringing the phone to his ear.

"Yes, I have a young lady here. Her body is blue and she's very cold."

He stayed quiet waiting for a response and when he got one, he did as told.

"Her pulse is very far apart, and very hard to recognize."

He got quiet, listening to the instructions.

"Okay."

The ambulance were in the room within two minutes.

"Clear!" A make nurse yelled. Placing the cardiac defibrillators to her chest, trying to shock life into her body.

Nothing.

"One, two, three, clear," he shouted again. Placing the cardiac defibrillators back on her chest.

"Why isn't she waking up?" The maid asked, he was the young man that called the police. No one had answered his question so he continued. "You need to try one more time. One more time. You can't just let her die."

"We'll try one more time," the nurse replied, rubbing the defibrillators together, before placing them on her chest.

The monitor still showed a flat line. The maid was beginning to pant frantically.

"I- it's just I've never seen anyone dead before. She can't die. She can't."

"I'm sorry, but there is no bringing her back to life. She's gon-" he began before he heard a single beep from the monitor. Everyone in the room put their focus on the monitor as it slowly began to speed up.

"It's a miracle! Come on! We got to get her to a hospital now! We wouldn't want to loose her again." The nurse spoke, picking her body off of the bed and laying her down on the gurney.

As they raced Brooklynn's pale body to the hospital, they continued checking on her, just in case she were to pass out or something.

Her eyes slowly fluttered open, and her heart rate went sky high.

"Get off of me. Get off of me," She shouted, kicking and hitting at everything in her path. "Please don't do this to me to. I'm sorry. Just please," she continued.

"Sweetie calm down. You're safe now. You're here with us and we will protect you. Whoever hurt you is not here, and we can guarantee you you'll be safe." The nurse reassured Brooke. Brooklynn's heart rate slowly began to decrease to it's normal pace, and she just nodded her head in agreement while she laid back on the gurney.

"We're almost to the hospital okay?"

"Okay. Where are my parents? They should be here," she began, as her eyes quickly filled with tears.

"We used your phone to contact them. They will be at the hospital when you arrive." He confirmed.

"Okay. Okay," Brooklynn replied, nodding her head.

The rest of the way to the hospital, Brooke remained quiet, as for the nurse. When they arrived at the hospital, they quickly rolled her to a room. When she got in the room, she saw her mother and father standing there with tears streaming down their faces.
