Me: Justin, did you know?

Justin: Know what?

Me: About me? About my family? Your Uncle, any of it?

Justin and I had been texting ever since my Au-, mom, told me all about what happened. I know it sounds strange, but I had actually start to believe it. It was all starting to finally add up, and I was just so dumb to finally realize it now. Jennifer and I look nothing alike, neither does David and I. It was weird because Kelly and I resembled each other a lot, yet I let the thought slip my mind.

Justin: Brooklynn, I have to be completely honest with you. I did know, I had to promise my mom, Kelly, and Joey that I wouldn't tell you. I'm sorry you had to find out about it the way you did. The whole thing is messed up, and If I could apologize for my uncle's mistakes, I would in a heartbeat.

I smiled at his message before replying back.

Me: I kind of wish you had mentioned it to me, but I understand why you didn't.

Justin: Yeah, I was put in a really weird position.

I simply nodded at the message and set the phone down on the table.

Being in the hospital was very tiring, as weird that sounds. The food was horrifying, and I was sure there was a hair in my eggs this morning. Ignoring the complaints in my head I adjusted myself on the bed, and looked at uh, my mom. I wasn't going to get used to calling her that. She was sitting in her chair, slouched down; sleeping.

"Aunt Kelly?"

She sat straight up and looked at me with her signature smile. I couldn't help but smile back at her.

"Yes sweetie?" She replied, tucking a loose strand of hair behind her ear.

"Do you think I could go over to see If Claire and Jess are alright? I mean, I'm feeling pretty good, and I just wanna know if they feel okay," I said.

"Oh sweetie, Claire and Jess came to see you earlier, you were still asleep. They checked out already, but Claire told me to tell you to text her as soon as you got up."

Without saying another word, I picked my phone off of the table to text claire.

Me: So, bestie, how are you feeling today?

Claire replied immediatly.

Claire: I'm feeling amazing. I came to see you today and I didn't want to wake you so I just told Kelly to mention it to you when you got up.

Me: Yeah she told me.

After sending the text, I looked over to Aunt Kelly. She was beginning to dose back to sleep.

"Can I ask you a question?" I whispered, just in case she was already sleep, I didn't want to wake her again.

"Sure sweetie, go ahead."

"So, does this mean I'm going to have to start calling you two mom and dad, instead of aunt and uncle?" I questioned, looking at her with a crooked smile.

She just looked at me and tilted her head to the side before getting up from her chair and walking over to the bed.

"Brooklynn, I know all this is probably hard for you, and I know that you are in a weird position, but if you feel more comfortable calling us aunt and uncle, I'm able to live with that," She said, taking a seat on the edge of the hospital bed.

"I'm glad you understand."

After Aunt Kelly and I finished our conversation, she and Uncle Joey went out for lunch while Claire, Justin and I all hung out in my hospital room.
