Brooke

"Aye! You little fucking cheater!" I spat as Justin beat me in a game of cards again. We've been playing Speed for the past two hours and this is probably the third time he's beaten me at this game.
"Like my uncle always told me, don't hate the player, hate the game," he gloated at the fact that he's beat me at a game I taught him.

"Oh whatever, I quit anyways," pouting, because I beat every one of my friends in this game, but Justin, he was absolutely impossible to beat.

"Fine, looks like we have a sore loser over here," he chuckles throwing the deck of cards at me as he quickly tries to get off the bed and run away.

"You. Little. Dick!" I spat, getting up to chase him around his room.

"Think you'll be able to catch me, well you're wro-," He starts, but stops as he falls over a purple Supra that was oddly placed in the middle of the room without its match in sight.

"PAHAHA! That's what you get you cocky little motherfu-," Justin grabbed a hold of my ankle and pulled me down. Awkward thing is, I landed on top of his chest. We both gazed into each other's eyes as I notice the color of his beautiful orbs. They were a deep caramel color with a mixture of a lighter brown. They were breath taking.

"Uh, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to fall on top of you," I quickly say removing my body from the position we both were in.

"It's fine," he murmurs, lifting his self from the ground. An awkward silent overtakes the room. The only noise that was semi noticeable was the sound of both Justin and I's breath in the room. Looking around his room I notice a brown guitar leaning against the wall.

"So, do you play?" I asked curiously. Back in New York, I had a friend who played guitar very well. His name was Ashton, he played guitar so well that you'd believe he payed millions and millions of dollars on lesson, but he didn't. He played guitar all the time. He taught his self how to play, watching YouTube videos, studying other guitarist, practicing until his fingers were raw. Ashton, Emily, Hanna, and I would all just sit out in the back of his old truck and listen to the way he strummed the guitar strings with his blue lucky pick. The way he played could turn someone's day completely around.

God I miss them.

The sound of Justin's voice snapping myself out of my thoughts.
"I dabble," he smiles, walking over to the guitar and picking it up by it's neck. He turned the desk chair around and removed the pick from the neck of the guitar and strummed it once. Memories flooded my mind as I closed my eyes.

"This is a song that I wrote. Music is something that comes naturally to me. I pick up my guitar and let loose," He says strumming the guitar again.

Sometimes it's hard to face reality. Oh, oh.
Even though you may get mad at me. Oh, oh.
Sometimes it's hard to face reality.
Don't be afraid to stand alone.
Don't be afraid to stand out the door alone.
I know it's hard away from home.
And it ain't easy all alone.
[Hard 2 Face Reality Justin Bieber, ft. Poo Bear]

He sings, causing a tear drop to role down my cheek. Memories flooded in my head.

"It doesn't matter Emily! You knew how I felt about him! You knew that I liked him and you took it upon yourself to make out with him! On my birthday at that. What kind of friend does that to someone!" I cry, looking at Emily, waiting for her to come up with another lie.

"How many times do I have to tell you that I'm sorry Brooke! It wasn't suppose to happen! I don't see why you just won't believe me," She spats, clearly upset at the fact that everything she was saying was irrelevent to me at the moment, I could care less what she had to say at that point. I just dont see how a best friend could do that to their friend.
