Alpha Roaul's POV

Sitting listening to Casey tell us everything Alexia has been through the last few months breaks my heart. Shes such a sweet girl and for her mate to do this to her is just plain wrong. Don't kids know what happens to your mate when you are unfaithful? Maybe i need to re-educate my pack on this subject, so this never happens again. The problem is its just so rare, wolves rejecting their true mates is generally un-heard off, unless its because you want to mate someone else and then the connection is severed only causing slight pain. Some wolves spend half their lives looking for their mate, and on rare cases some never find them. Ive always told my children how important having a mate is, and they need to respect and cherish their mates once they find them. I just hope Jayden doesn't become like the odd few wolves that never find his mate.

I knew Colin has been worried about Alexia, but he honestly thought she was just stressed about her senior year, that's what Alexia had insisted was wrong with her. My heart goes out to Alexia and her family. Listening to Dr Stacy talk about the fact that Alexia could have died, makes it that much worse, and i'll make sure my family is there to support them and help them through this. I noticed Casey hasn't mentioned who Alexia's mate is yet, maybe its because hes not in our pack? although thinking about it i cant see how Alexia would have met him otherwise. I thank Casey for being honest with us, it couldn't have been easy to break Alexia's secret and i can sympathize with her, but we still need the name of her mate, i wasn't lying to her when i told her that it could kill Alexia if hes unfaithful while shes in a coma. We need to try and track him down immediately.

"Her mate is Jayden, your son Alpha Roaul"

Surely Casey couldn't have just said what i thought she did? I look at Moira and shes looking shocked with her hand clasped over her mouth. "I'm sorry Casey, who did you say?" i ask just to be sure i didn't hear wrong. I look over at Alexia's family and they are all looking stunned and shocked, waiting for Casey to repeat herself. "I said that her mate is your son Jayden" she repeats. At this things become chaotic, Colin stands trying to head for the door stating hes going to kill him, Cindy is holding him back trying to calm him down, Markus isn't doing much better at controlling his temper, i can hear the profanities coming out of his mouth but they barely register. I cant believe my son would do this, hes always been so excited about finding his mate. This was why he spent the summer looking for her. He's always insisted that hes saving his virginity for his mate, but the guy Casey describes seems to have been round half the pack. I hear something smash and that breaks me out of my thoughts. "ENOUGH" i shout using my Alpha voice, immediately everyone stops what they were doing and looks at me. I notice my table is no longer standing and a few other items have been smashed, I'm assuming it was while Cindy and Leigh were trying to calm Colin and Markus down. "I know you are all upset, but we need to speak to Jayden and find out the truth", i notice Casey looks at me accusingly "Its not that i don't believe you Casey, its just we need to get all the facts". I manage to get everyone to sit back down, "Dr Stacy, Casey, Markus and Leigh can you leave please while just the parents speak to Jayden?" Markus looks like hes going to object, until Colin asks him to go check on Alexia and the baby for him. God if this is true then that means that the baby is my grandson fighting for his life. I mentioned the baby looked liked Jayden earlier, its not that i thought the baby was his, its just with the black hair it reminded me off when i first held Jayden after he was born. They all leave the room and i call Jayden telling his to come to my office immediately. While waiting for him, i ask Alexia's parents to let me handle the questioning, i know that its their daughter that's been hurt, but this now involves my son, and i need to hear his side of the story.

Jayden walks in smiling, until he notices Alexia's family and the destruction in my office, and then he looks a little uncomfortable and worried. "Take a seat next to your mother Jayden" i instruct him. He looks a little apprehensive but does as i ask, "Jayden is Alexia your mate?" i figure there's no point beating around the bush. I see Jayden stiffen and a range of emotion run through his eyes, i notice confusion, sadness and then anger. He looks away from me and stares at his hands in his lap. "Jayden did you hear me, we need to know" i repeat, "yes shes my mate". I barely hear him hes that quiet but i know what his reply was. I slump back in my chair shocked, i know that Casey wouldn't lie about something like this but i was just hoping she was wrong. "I know you rejected her, but i need to know why?" i ask, because this is the answer i really want. As far as i was aware he was desperate to find his mate, so why would he find her only to reject her? He sits on the sofa fiddling with his fingers, I'm assuming hes debating in what answer to give us "I didn't want a mate, i wasn't ready, i didn't want to settle down yet. When i found my mate was Alexia i was shocked, i didn't even know who she was dad. She was just so shy and quiet, even if i did accept her what kind of Luna would she have made, when she cant look anyone in the eye?". I couldn't believe what i was hearing, my sons never expressed these feelings before to me "why didn't you tell me you didn't want a mate?" i ask. "Because i didn't want to disappoint you" he responds. Too late for disappointments i think to myself bitterly. "Jayden, i don't like asking you personal questions, especially with others present but, i need to know and i expect an honest answer. Did you have sexual relationships with other girls after rejecting Alexia?" Jayden immediately flushes red from the embarrassment, its not like i normally discuss sex with my son, but i need to know if he he fully understand his actions from sleeping with other people. "Yes i did, and I'm so sorry mum and dad, i know you wanted me to wait. But why do you need to know?" he asks. "Son do you know what happens to your mate, if you because intimate with someone other then her?" he looks confused at my question, and he seems to be running the question in his mind. "I rejected her so what would it matter if i was having sex with someone else?". God after Alexia and my grandson gets better, I'm going to sit down the whole pack and discuss this issue with everyone, if my own son is this naive, then what must the others think like? I explain to Jayden about the pain your mate feels when your intimate with someone else, the fact that it can kill their wolves, ultimately killing the person. He looks shocked once I'm finished, and as my words finally sink and he realizes the danger he put Alexia in, he looks over at Cindy and Colin "Where's Alexia is she alright? Please tell me shes alright" he begs them. The both look over at me and my son realizes there waiting for me to say something, he looks back at me expectantly. "Son, Alexia is currently in a coma, her heart stopped beating but Dr Stacy got her back, shes stable but we're not sure when shes going to wake up". He looks relieved at my answer and immediately stands up "i need to see her, and make sure shes alright". Colin and Cindy stand up then "You will stay away from our daughter, you've done enough damage" Colin states angrily. They both leave, i don't stop them, i know they want to get back to Alexia, Jayden looks at me "dad you don't understand, for the past few weeks, Ive been so busy trying to forget Alexia Ive been having sex all the time. Its my fault shes in the coma and i need to make it right". He looks broken pacing my office floor, i know hes been truthful and feels horrible about his actions, but the damage has been done. I cant force Colin and Cindy to let my son see their daughter. "Until Alexia wakes up and requests to see you, you will stay away from her. Now please sit back down there's something else i want to talk to you about" he looks so dejected but simply nods his head and takes a seat on the now vacated sofa.

"Jayden there's something else we haven't told you, Alexia was pregnant, you have a son but unfortunately the doctor doesn't know if he's going to make it"
