Chapter 1: For her.

3rd Person POV

In a lab, two persons are meeting.

One of them was a scientist and the other one was the leader of the enterprise.

An enterprise is known as "Trask Enterprise"

They mostly are known for their purpose of helping humanity to progress by the opportunity to travel space and saving human lives.

Today the leader of the enterprise Bolivar Trask was going to inspect the progress of probably the most ambitious project he has so far. He was looking forward to this meeting for days.

And once he approached the doors of the lab he knocked twice and got inside the lab being able to find by far the best employee he had this year, so with a smile he looked forward to seeing the progress he made.

"Doctor Connors!"

The Dr. Turned around and spotted his boss returning the smile.

"Good morning Mr Trask"

"Good morning. Now I would stay here so I could chat with you, but unfortunately, I'm a busy man as you may know by now, so let's get to the point. What do you have for me today?"

"Of course, but before I can show you our progress I have to ask you, Mr. Trask. Have you ever thought of a cure for cancer?"

Bolivar couldn't help but smile at Connors's words "Alright, you got my attention doctor, please Keep talking"

"You see Mr Trask. For a while I was obsessed with reptiles and their capacity to regenerate their limbs, hoping that someday I may be able to get my arm back, but I was a fool until we found this"

Trask and Connors walked for a while until they found themselves in front of three tables with glove boxes.

In each table, we could see three goo-like substances that seemed to have a life of their own besides one that was unmoving, but at the same time, it was trying to reach the one in the middle.

"Ever since you brought us this, it has changed my ideals and my way of thinking about science. I know I should have asked this earlier, but Mr. Trask where did you find this?"

"Normally I wouldn't tell this to someone, but since you are one of the only doctors I trust I'll tell you. The Red one, we found it near some meteorite crash. Our sources say that it was inside the meteorite, so apparently is some kind of alien life. As for the black one it was already on earth and I bought it from someone who was selling it in the black market. They said that they took it from a dead man" Responded Bolivar with a smirk on his face "But I don't remember bringing a third one into the lab"

"Because that's our progress, Mr. Trask. You see we have been experimenting and researching and with enough chemicals and gas we could separate part of them we have only been successful with the black substance since the red one has been showing some resistance, but we'll get there soon. But this Mr Trask"

Connors looked inside the glove box as Trask did too "We have experimented with this, and now we have a cure for cancer. The substance can be considered as some kind of suit, once it latches with the body of the inflicted or the person with cancer, the black substance will cover all of their body and once that they transforms into a suit, this one Will look for the tumor and it will eliminate it. We have already tested in some volunteers that had no financial way of covering their treatment and it worked"

Bolivar smiled knowing that this could be the next chapter of humanity, but of course, he couldn't help but think that the profit he would get from this would be big.
