*few weeks later*
ZAHRA--

The day of the nikkah had finally come. I'm so excited to see Amira get married but I noticed that she's a bit nervous... even though she has nothing to worry abt.

My parents don't really like tradition and culture so we won't be wearing anything too lebanese.

Their orders, not ours.

I helped Amira pick out a dress three weeks ago for the nikkah and she kept on thanking me for helping her and telling me how much she loved the dress.

I suggested that it'd be better if the dress' color would be her favorite color, like what I did, so she picked an emerald green dress.

Me, on the other hand, I picked an off-white dress.

I finish putting it on and I take a look at the mirror. I loved the way the dress looked on me. For the first time in a while, I actually like the way I look.

It was stunning and looked kind of sophisticated, but I liked it that way. This silky dress is sure to stand out. The delicate fabric drapes loosely over my body. The long sleeves add an understated touch of elegance, while the simple design is perfect for allowing my personality to shine through. This off-white silky dress is the perfect choice for a nikkah, and it makes me feel confident, classy, and beautiful.

I put on a white hijab, wrapped loosely around my head yet still able to cover my hair, ears, and neck. I pin it in place and go up to the vanity and put on my signature makeup look.

Just then, I go to the room where Amira is changing and knock on the door.

She lets me in and she looks absolutely gorgeous.

She was wearing a breathtaking, timeless emerald green dress. This long sleeve gown is the perfect canvas for Amira. This dress is sure to bring out the best in her with its stunning green hue. Made of the finest silk, this dress looks both comfortable and luxurious, ensuring that she feels confident and glamorous. With its long sleeves and elegant lace detailing, this dress is sure to be one of the prettiest dresses I've seen.

She's also wearing a white hijab and has a little bit of makeup on.

"Amira! Oh my Allah, you look gorgeous, allahuma barik!" I say as a huge smile appears on my face.

"Girl you too, allahuma barik! You are dressed up so elegantly, I love the dress!" She replies as we both hug each other tightly.

I don't want her to leave so soon.

She has been my best friend for as long as I can remember, I can't just say goodbye and hope to see her again soon, but this is reality and I have to face it.

"Thank you" I reply as she let's go of the hug.

My eyes suddenly become glossy and well up with tears and then a single teardrop leaves my eyes, rolling down my cheeks.

"Zahra please don't cry. I'll start crying if you do" she says and we both laugh as we fight the urge to weep.

A few minutes later Anas knocks on the open door and steps inside. "You two look beautiful, as always. " he says. We both smile at his compliment and reply with a 'thank you'

"We need to go now" he announces and we all get out of the room.

We reach the limousine and both our parents are waiting for us inside.

Anas holds the door for Amira and I to step in and he goes inside after us and the limousine starts moving.

Amira is so nervous to the point where I notice her hands shaking and her leg bouncing.

I hold her hand and tell her that's it's going to be okay, and that the feeling is normal, and it'll go away soon.

We reach the mosque where the nikkah is held and we step out of the vehicle.

They both sit on the sofa as the Imam sits in between the both of them and everyone gathers around them.

"Shall we begin?" The Imam asks and we all nod our heads. He starts by reciting a few ayat from the Quran and then asks the question: "Amira Najjar, do you accept this marriage with Zakariya Farhat?" The Imam asks my sister and she smiles then says her "I do"-s. I can see a slight tint of red on her cheeks while she does so.

The Imam turns his head to Zakariya's direction and asks him the same question. "Zakariya Farhat, do you accept this marriage with Amira Najjar?" Zakariya nods and says his "I do"-s while his eyes are becoming glossy with tears but he quickly wipes them away.

Them and their witnesses sign the contract, then the Imam finishes the Nikkah with a dua.

Everyone there claps and cheers as Amira and Zakariya have their first hug.

Happy tears roll down their cheeks and I notice Zakariya whispering something to Amira which causes her smile to widen, and her cheeks to grow red.

I wonder what he said...

They let go of the hug and each of them walk to their side of the family and say their goodbyes.

Amira speed-walks towards Anas and I and hugs the daylight out of the both of us. "I'll miss you two so much" she says with a sad expression on her face.

"We'll miss you too" we both say at the same time.

"Don't forget to call us everyday" says Anas and Amira nods as she leaves us to go with Zakariya.

"Bye! " we both yell and wave our hands  watching them leave the mosque.
