Pierre let me choose the music on our drive to the circuit. We sang loudly with the windows down and I felt totally free. He pulled around to the driver's lot and we found the cameras were already waiting. Pierre let out a long sigh as his head rested against the steering wheel.

"C'mon Gasly let's get this over with."

"Can I at least get your door?" We both glanced at the reporters and I shook my head. Suddenly, the door was opening and a familiar Monagesque accent filled the car.

"Well well well...what do we have here?" Charles was grinning at the two of us as he offered his hand to me. Carlos was waiting on Pierre's side of the car and I gave both Ferrari drivers a quick hug.

"Not going to get the door for me Carlos?" Pierre asked innocently. The Spaniard just shook his head and laughed.

"Hey wait for us!" Lando's voice carried from behind us as well and I grinned as both McLaren boys joined the group.

"The reporters are going to have a field day with this one!" Daniel called and that's when I noticed that it wasn't only reporters lining the paddock entrance. Fans dressed in an array of oranges, reds and blues lined the streets. When they noticed our group approaching the screams increased ten fold. The boys stopped to sign merchandise and I snapped a few pictures.

"Evangeline!" I heard my name but it sounded like a young voice. Turning, I spotted a girl who couldn't be older than ten. She wore a Mercedes hat and a Lewis Hamilton shirt which brought a smile to my face. Her hand extended through the gap in the fence and expected to find a gift for my brother. The girl opened her fist, a purple beaded bracelet rested there, "for you." Her eyes were wide as I took the bracelet from her and found the letters 'MFH' on the string along with a bead which was engraved with a music note. I met her gaze and she whispered, "my favorite Hamilton. You're the best, I can't wait to listen to the rest of your songs!" My eyes began to sting and I crouched to take a picture with the young girl. The wide smile she wore matched my own as I followed my friends into the paddock.

The five drivers insisted upon walking me to the Mercedes garage, where my brother and George were already waiting. The guys said quick 'hellos' and George went with the McLaren drivers for his time with the media.

"So Gasly..."

Shit. Lewis was still there.

"Hey Lewis," Pierre smiled lazily at my brother and my heart threatened to explode from my chest.

"You brought Evie to the circuit?"

"Yes I did. I promise I drove safely–"

"He drove very safely." Pierre and I met eyes, hoping Lewis wouldn't see the emotions that roiled beneath the surface.

"So would you consider yourself friends with my sister?" My brother's eyes narrowed and Pierre took a short breath.

"Yeah I would. She's cool, sucks at karting though." Silent tension hung between the three of us but then...Lewis began to laugh.

"She really does! I'll have to tell you about the first time we all went–"

"Lewis." Toto emerged from a room and motioned for Lewis to follow.

"Well time for me to go. Evie you're watching from here yeah?"

"Of course." I smiled as my brother disappeared with his boss. I turned to Pierre and found he was releasing a long sigh.

"Y'know I never thought of your brother as scary...unless he's in the rearview mirrors, but that was terrifying." He smiled slightly and I couldn't help but chuckle.
