👼 MY ANGEL👼

I reached for it and held it in my hand. I traced my finger on the cover and smiled. It was Gwen's diary.

I wondered if I was supposed to have this.

It had been three days of me just wallowing in self-pity in Gwen's apartment.

And I just wanted to take a walk today. Just walk, going nowhere in particular.

Well, I didn't really know this town anyway.

I was planning on moving into Gwen's apartment. I didn't know if I could manage, but I thought I would. It was only 20 minutes from my town, so I could still work at my job there.

Although my apartment was bigger, this one had more of Gwen in it. I would just stay here and maybe one day, I would sell my old apartment.

I was walking down the streets of this new town in a floral dress, with a bag in my hand.

My bag had my wallet, my phone, and Gwen's diary. I was taking it everywhere with me because I just couldn't put it down. But I couldn't open it either. I was scared.

I wondered if there was anything in there that might help shed some light on who shot her. On who killed her.

I was walking down the empty street all alone, my head in another place, when I spotted a church just ahead of me.

It was decorated with beautiful flowers and there were cars parked next to the entrance. I guessed it was a wedding in there.

A wedding of rich people based on how expensive the cars looked. Even though I didn't know whose wedding it was or who was in there, I decided to check it out.

A wedding, that must be nice. You dressed in white, saying 'I do' to the love of your life. Promising each other forever. Hoping your forever would last a lifetime.

Sigh! I really wished for that sometimes. But sadly, I hadn't found the one who could tug on my heartstrings enough to make me fall madly in love with him. But I would love to witness the love of others while wishing for my own in the process.

I could really use some positive energy right now after long days of me crying so much. Nights of me waking up in the middle of the night, screaming my sister's name.

So, I walked in slowly, holding onto my bag. The entire hall was quiet. Everyone was seated and watching the altar, so of course, nobody noticed me coming in.

There was a bride on stage, dressed in a long white gown that looked very expensive. She had a smile on her face that was so big it could be noticed from where I was. She was facing a man who was dressed in a black tuxedo. I didn't see his smile at all, but maybe I couldn't from this distance and angle.

I kept walking as I looked for a place to sit. I noticed there weren't many guests, so almost half of the church seats were empty. I had to walk halfway through the church to sit on the last row.

And as I did that, I heard the priest say to the man, after the woman said 'I do', "Mr. Callahan, do you take this bride as your wife, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish her as long as you both shall live?"

The groom doesn't answer as quickly as the bride. He looks hesitant, actually.
