👼 MY ANGEL 👼

Elsa was woken up by her alarm the next morning. She had cried and fallen asleep from exhaustion without realizing.

Luckily for her, it was a weekend and she didn't have to go to work. She got out of bed lazily and made her way to the kitchen.

As she prepared herself a cup of tea, she heard the door unlock. It was as if someone from outside was turning a key in the lock.

Panic struck her, causing her to stand still in the kitchen like a statue, not knowing what to do or how to act.

The door opened and a tall figure walked in. She didn't know if she would feel relieved or even more scared when she saw him.

"Jeremy?" she called out softly.

How does he have the keys to this place now? He didn't before.

Jeremy was in one of his black suits. He walked in, dominating the apartment with his aura and glory.

The apartment wasn't big, so it didn't take long for Jeremy to spot Elsa. Elsa just looked at him, not saying anything as he made his way to her.

In her mind, he came here to scold her for leaving the party. She had prepared herself for what she was going to say. But right now, it was like she couldn't speak.

When Jeremy reached the counter and stood opposite to where Elsa was standing, Elsa lowered her eyes and couldn't look at him.

"Get ready, we're leaving," he said sternly. Elsa slowly raised her eyes and looked at him, blinking repeatedly.

"Leaving?" she asked with a low voice.

"Grandpa is asking for you," he said.

That was a short response, but it was enough to tell Elsa why and where they were going. Elsa was supposed to meet the Old Master last night. Jeremy was supposed to come back for her and take her to him.

But she left before any of that happened.

The Old Master must have requested to see her this morning to compensate. Everyone in that family hated her.

What will happen to her when she meets the Old Master?

How will he treat her? He must think she is the most despicable woman alive. After all, she is the one who made him force Jeremy to marry her. Even though that was Gwen, Elsa is the one paying the price.

"Jeremy, I don't think that's a good idea," she said carefully. Jeremy put his hands in his pockets and had his eyes on the girl with a questioning look.

"Are you rejecting my grandfather's request to see you? Are you trying to disrespect him?" When Elsa heard that, she immediately panicked. She would never dream of disrespecting the Old Master.

"No, I-"

"Good, you have 15 minutes to get ready," he said. His tone indicated that it was final and Elsa couldn't argue or talk her way out of this.

Elsa simply nodded and went into her bedroom to get ready. She did not want to go back to the Callahan Manor, especially not this soon.

She could only hope Jeremy wouldn't leave her alone again. Even though he is mean to her too, she hoped he would stay so at least she could hide behind him, just like how she would hide behind Gwen whenever she was scared.
