The two forests, deep in the mountains, were usually a peaceful place. The animals lived in harmony, neither bothering nor challenging the other.

But when the winter snows came, that all changed.

The wolves were always hungry in winter, but this year seemed to be worse than ever. With deer scarce, and the snow covering too much of the forest so they couldn't hunt or forage, their stomachs grumbled and they moaned with hunger.

The foxes, on the other hand, seemed to be thriving. While the rest of the forest's inhabitants were struggling to find enough food, the foxes always seemed to be eating something--nuts, berries, insects, and even the occasional rabbit or mouse.

One night, as the wolves' hunger began to reach a fever pitch, the alpha wolf called an emergency meeting. He said that they needed to take drastic action and find a new food source, or else they would begin to starve.

The solution he proposed was to hunt the foxes. He argued that the foxes were thriving while the rest of the animals were struggling to find enough food, and that they needed to take some of what the foxes had.

The other wolves argued that the foxes were just as hungry as them and that it was wrong to take away their food. But the alpha wolf refused to listen. He said that if they wanted to survive the winter, they needed to take matters into their own hands and hunt the foxes.

In the end, the alpha wolf's plan was put into action. The wolves set out on a hunt for the foxes, and the two forests were soon filled with the sound of howling and snarling.

The foxes fought bravely, managing to escape with just a few losses. But the wolves had already tasted fresh meat, and the battle waged on for weeks until the foxes were finally driven out of the forest and into the mountains beyond.

The wolves had won the battle, but it had come at a great cost. Now the two forests were divided, with a clear line between wolf and fox. The peace and harmony of before was gone, as they both continued to fight for the limited resources of the forest.

While the wolves were content with their victory, they never would have realized the consequences of what they had done. They had ruined a once-peaceful paradise and replaced it with one of conflict and fear.

The wolves met another group of wolves, which came from a secret place named Winterheart Woods. The forest wolves and the Winterheart Woods wolves allied themselves and always promissed to help each other if there were any problems.
