RANVIJAY

"I will check the details tomorrow" I hung up the call after hearing Jai Hind. I had pending work in my hands, but still I showed up to her so that I could take her home. I knew she would go to college to collect her stuff. So I was here for her help.

It may be difficult for her to find a cab. It is not that difficult, I mean, you can book a cab through online apps, but my concern was something else. It would be difficult to find a safer cab. I can't compromise her security, not when she is surrounded by threats.

A danger was still roaming around like air. She couldn't even see that, but I could. Titan admirers were still after her. I can't be relaxed until I solved this fucking titan matter. After all, this was the reason I married her.

Before Marriage

I hided the truth from everyone, but I can't hide it from Arjun. I'm too shy to share my personal stuff with anyone, but I always shared my professional secrets with Arjun. I only told him why I needed to marry Kashish.

That's why I told him to met me, and here he was sitting opposite me at the coffee shop. "Are you kidding me, Ranvijay?" Arjun yelled.

"You risked your bright career" I pinched the bridge of my nose. "Do you have any idea what you have done? What if they found out the truth? You will be suspended" I placed the cup of coffee on the table.

Yes, I risked my career, only for Kashish. I can do anything for her. I was never like that, I would never be like that. I'm protective only for her.

I'd told the lieutenant colonel partly truth when I submitted my mission report. I didn't mean to betray the army, I won't ever do so. I just hided Kashish from them. Because the secret she hide could destroy her. She isn't aware of it.

"So Tamraz kidnapped Kashish just to break her father's silence" I nodded at lieutenant colonel's words. He still believed that Kashish was kidnapped because her father's enemies targeted her. But the truth was far different from reality and harsh as well.

Kashish's father revealed some secrets to me before his death. "Please save my daughter" were not the last words from him. When Arjun left me behind with Mr. Dandekar, we had a little chit-chat session.

"Sir, get up you will be okay"

"Officer, don't try to save me. Save my Kashish. Please. They will kill my daughter!" I frowned my eyes at him. Kill!! You mistaken, they couldn't touch her unless they wanted themselves under 10 feet ground.

"And listen officer, don't let her be caught by Tamraz. She is the key of titan that's why he is after her" I grew my eyes wider, but my mask hid it. What!! I mean, how? He was taking breath in short pants.

"I've hide Titan in Kasol. And-" he struggled to breathe but he continued anyway "-and the briefcase is protected by a biometric iris scanner. I used Kashish iris to protect it" he murmured. "Save. Her" he said before shutting his eyes. He died in my arms. "What?"

Utter silence hummed in my ears. I wasn't able to hear anything happening around me. Somewhere in the distance, a bullet shot faded sound occupied my ears and landed me back at the moment.

I was torn between fear and fury. Fury over that, he didn't even hesitate to put her daughter's life in danger. He had only one motive- protect the nation. He put her own daughter's life in danger for everyone's sake.

Fear over how he can put my love life in danger. My hands trembled beneath my glove. What if I failed to search for her? What if something happened to her? I never estimated myself as weak during any mission.
