FIFTY-EIGHT

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY CAL AND ALEX, HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!" Everyone shouted as Callum and I stood in the middle of the hall we rented out as 2 Costco cakes sat in front of us each with our name and a candle that looked like a sparkler and a number 26 candle beneath it. People were videoing it and there were phone flashes in front of the majority of people I saw. Everyone started cheering and I was smiling uncontrollably,

"Happy birthday Alexandra" Callum said nudging me with his elbow

"Happy birthday Little bro" I smiled reminding him that I'm still older. Josh and Sarah came out with crows for Callum and I, I started laughing at how cheesy it is but I loved it. They placed them on our heads as Callum and I started cutting our cakes

"Happy Birthday Beautiful" Josh said still standing next to me

"Thank you" I smiled

"I love you" He said coming closer, I knew he was going to kiss me or at least he wanted to. I took some icing off the side of the cake on wiped it across his mouth and started laughing

"I love you too" I smiled

"I'll get you later for that" He smirked as he grabbed a napkin to wipe his face

"HA DICKHEAD" Simon shouted and pointed at Josh causing his whole friendship group to laugh

The rest of the night flew by, I was taking pictures and dancing and drinking. Dancing and Drinking the perfect combination. It was only when the night was coming to an end things started going wrong, all you could hear was a few girls screeching and most of the people on the dance floor had moved over and surrounded two men fighting.

"HEY!" I shouted put none of them listened, Callum and I had pushed our way to the front and everyone. Callum is not the strongest especially if he had to pull two quite strong looking people off of each other, he would've been dragged into the fight as well. I saw JJ trying to push to the front I grabbed his hand and yanked him forward, JJ looks like someone you wouldn't mess with. JJ already knew what I was going to ask, he went in and pulled the two guys off of each other. JJ held onto one of them and Callum grabbed the other one

"You two need to leave" I said, the Music had stopped at this point because everyone wanted to hear what was going to happen

"What the fuck man" The guy Callum was holding on to was trying to wriggle out of his grasp, Callum and JJ nodded at each other and took the two men to the door. I followed them because I didn't want them to fight outside either, they must've been those people that someone brought as a plus one or something because I didn't really know who they were exactly but then again it was dark.

"C'mon Mark, let's go" Some girl barged passed me and I'm guessing she was with one of these boys and was angry because she had been thrown out initially.

"Someone's not happy" I said to Callum quietly and I saw him smile.

"Happy Birthday" Cal came up to me,

"Well isn't this odd" I turned to him, I was at the bar getting myself another drink

"Did you think I wouldn't say it" He smiled

"I knew you would but I didn't think it would be 1 on 1, I assumed you would just do it in the middle of the group" I said as the bartender handed me my drink, I nodded as if to say Thank you and placed the thin black straw between my lips.

"Same old Alex" Cal shrugged,

"What do you mean by that" I glared at him taking offence

"I'm joking, calm down. Just wanted to see if I could get you riled up and it worked, I haven't lost my touch" He smiled a genuine smile

"That girl looks drunk enough for you, or do we wait till she can't stand" I smirked sipping the liquid from my straw

"Haven't lost mine either" I smiled as I walked away, I heard him chuckle.

"There you are" Zoe Mae came over, drunk

"Whoa, how much have you had" I said catching her as she almost fell

"Maybe a little too much" She hiccupped

"Maybe" I repeated

"Hey sorry Alex, I lost her for a second" Simon came over and put one hand on Zoe Mae's waist to get her to stand up properly

"Get off, I have a boyfriend" She snapped

"You know you kinda look like him" She looked at Simon studying him like they'd never met

"How about we go for a walk and you can tell me about him?" Simon asked trying to put his arm on her waist, I couldn't help but smile at how good he was at dealing with her and being a good boyfriend

"I don't think he'd like that" She protested

"I assure you he will be fine with it, just ask your friend" Simon nodded his head towards me causing Zoe's head to snap back into my direction, I nodded back at her

"Okay let's go" She hiccupped and laughed at herself as she walked away with Simon. I placed my lips around my straw again as I walked through the dance floor, I wasn't looking for anyone in particular. A pair of hands grabbed my waist and pulled me over in their direction, I jumped backwards out of their grasp and turned around

"You're an idiot, I though you were some random guy" I smiled seeing Josh's face

"Sorry, I just can't seem to keep my hands off you" He said before pulling me close with force, not brutal force it was demanding and desired, his head cocked to the side slightly as he kissed me passionately.
