"Hey Janis!" you greeted your girlfriend, "Happy Halloween!"
"Ugh. No." Janis took a drink of her coffee and kept walking.
"What's wrong?" you asked Janis
"Have I mentioned, I fucking hate Halloween."
"What??" you asked in shock, "You dress scary every other day of the year, why's Halloween any different?"
"Hey! That was rude," Janis replied, "but to answer your first question, it's not scary. Nothing scares me anymore. Damian and I usually sit in the basement and watch horror movies. We like to make fun of the idiots in them."
"Okay. Can you let me try to change your mind about Halloween?" you asked suddenly getting a plan.
"Good luck with that. Anyways, come watch movies with us?" Janis wanted you there. Maybe Halloween would be better this year. If you were with her, maybe she could like it.
"See you there!" you kissed her cheek and walked down the hall deciding make a last minute trip to the costume shop...
