Sitting on the couch studying, mum and Rory walk through the door with groceries and in the middle of a conversation.

"Ooh food." I coo, getting off the couch.

"How Charlie guess what?" Rory asks me excitedly.

"I'd rather you just tell me." I smirk.

"Mum's choosing the movie for Movie in the Square Night!"

"Really?! How?!"

"I annoyed Taylor." She grins.

"I would expect nothing else. So what are you choosing?"

"I don't know there are so many choices."

"I just can't get over the fact that Taylor gave something up." Rory smiles.

"I know, he relinquished his crown and gave it to me." Mum smiles.

"Can I borrow it?" I ask hopefully.

"I don't know honey, we'll have to see." Mum smirks.

"I asked the exact same thing."

"And I don't want you two to fight over it, like my love."

"Oh please everyone knows I'm your favourite." I giggle, grabbing stuff out of the bags.

The next day we were sitting in Rory's room, discussing what movie we should pick.

"The Wizard of Oz." Mum suggests.

"Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory." I pipe in.

"The Sting." Rory adds.

"Rocky."

"Crimes and Misdemeanours."

"The Singing Detective."

"That was a min series." Rory smirks.

"So?" Mum asks.

"So it's six hours long." I smirk.

"Good point. Ooh, I got it! Arthur." Mum smiles.

"Yes!" Rory says excitedly.

"Or Sophie's Choice." Mum sighs.

"You can't go wrong with Meryl Streep." I grin.

"They're both really similar." Rory sighs.

"Oh man, I can't choose, there's too many great movies. The burden is overwhelming. I'm sinking under the pressure. My grasp on reality is slipping. I can't do it, I can't hold on, I just can't, I just. . .ooh, hey, how about Cabin Boy?" Mum says dramatically as the phone rings.

"Hey will you get that?" Rory asks as she's preoccupied with something.

"No." Mum says quickly.

"Why not?" Rory asks.

"Time?" Mum says with raised eyebrows.

"6:45."

"On?"

"Wednesday. Ooh," Rory says with excitement as she answers the phone, "hi dad!"

"Hey kiddo, what's going on, is your sister there?" I hear dad on the other side of the phone.

Signalling for him not to give the phone over to me she replies back with, "No she's not here. She's just getting ready for school and trying to think up movies."

"Movies for what?"

"Our town does this big movie festival outdoors every year and this year Mom gets to pick the movie."
