Shane appears by the stables. "Clara? You here?" "Depends, am I about to be lectured by you?" Clara called from up where the hay was in the attic. Shane scoffs. "Nah, I'm just here to be here," he says. Shane leans against the stable wall. "Any updates on Adri? Has anyone else come to get her?" Clara shook her head. "We've made sure someone is with her at all times. We even have her staying the nights at the Court. Hoping it will keep her hidden at night. Plus, at the Court, there is never a time where everyone is asleep. How about Ash? She doing any better?" Shane sighs deeply. "No progress is being made. It's almost like she's in a trance. No matter what me or Mom does, Ash can't seem to collect her thoughts." "I wish I could help but I was never a slave, obviously. And I don't know how much Markus is like his mom or his race," Clara says, "But as a mom myself, I guess I can just say, be patient and careful. Adrianna was shy too, of course, not as badly as Ash. But she'll warm up to you and Verity. Very few people don't like you." Shane nods his head. "I hope she does. Otherwise, it'll take a miracle," he says. "I just don't want this whole thing to be for nothing," says Shane. Clara nodded. "Neither do I, neither do I." She went over to Misty who was in her stable. "The past few days have been normal. And I am not meaning villain kid normal, I mean normal, normal. It's weird. I used to say I wanted that life, I was wrong. I am so bored. It's the same thing every day. Wake up, eat, come here for a little, go home, hang out with Adrianna and Claytin, go out shopping if needed, eat again, drop Adrianna off at the Court, go back home and sleep. I need excitement in my life." Shane removes his cap. "I feel you, Clara. Charlene and I just moved into our new home, and it's so far away from mom and the others in New Orleans." He sighs. "It's been pretty slow and boring there, too. I mean, we've both spent our entire lives either causing mischief or on the run from Frollo. Once I achieve my ultimate goal and Frollo is finally dealt with, what are we gonna do next?" Clara took out the pendant that held her blood. "We figure out where to dump this. Why else would I be waiting, Shane? When my father is dealt with, all I'll have is my family and my crown for the Court. Is it bad that I am hoping for some big thing we have to fight to show up? Just to give me something?" Shane chuckles. "Not at all. Heck, what good is a hero without a villain to take down? I'm pretty sure there's other VKs out there that'll cause trouble," he says. "Yeah, well, I'd be surprised if we got to them first with the others out there," Clara said sighing, glancing down at her phone. Shane nods. "Any updates on Markus?" he asks. "Nothing, like I said, life has been normal. But I haven't heard from Markus since the takeover ended." "Shoot," says Shane. "It really is getting boring." Clara's phone vibrated from a text. She looked down before turning it off. "Boring is only temporary." Shane jolts with excitement. "I have never been more excited to hear about trouble," he says. "What's up?" "I never said there was any," Clara said giving him a look.  Shane rolls his eyes.  "You don't even know who texted. You are so bored, you're looking for anything that might even show something," Clara laughs, "But I can't blame you. It's been like that for me." Shane puts on his cap. "Well, who was it?" "An old friend," Clara shrugged. Shane sighs. "On one hand, I don't wanna get involved with more of your past coming back to haunt you. On the other hand, I'm bored out of my life. Tell me more," he says. "Meh, I like torturing you. You don't need to know. All you need to know is the only past haunting me is my father," Clara said patting his shoulder. Shane gives her a look. "You and your secrets," he says. "No, me and everyone's rules they shove down my throat," Clara sighed, "Especially my husband." "Why not just do what you wanna do? I get that they all want you to be safe, but you can handle yourself," says Shane. "And how many times have you stopped me from doing things? You may not be as bad as Claytin, but trust me, your just bad enough," Clara said rolling her eyes. "Shut up," Shane scoffs. "But seriously, I'm not as strict as I used to be." "I'll believe it when I see it," Clara says climbing back up to the attic part with the hay. She stopped and turned to him thinking. Shane shifts into the attic after Clara. "You know? There is a way to test you, see if you really aren't as strict... Nah, nevermind..." Clara said still deep in thought... "Though you could be helpful... yeah, nevermind." "Clara, word of advice. If you don't wanna get probed again, maybe you should just tell me things instead of muttering to yourself," says Shane. Clara ran her fingers through her hair. "I'll say this if you are still bored next Saturday, come early in the morning," Clara said. Shane nods. "Will do," he says. Clara smiles. "Just one little thing you gotta promise me..." "Oh, goodness," Shane groans. "It's nothing bad, you just can't tell anyone I may or not be planning something," Clara said crossing her arms, "Especially Claytin and my mom. They'd freak out of me if they knew what I was planning." Shane smirks. "Alright," he says. "I promise." Clara nodded, "Thanks." "So what exactly are you planning, Clara?" "You'll see," Clara said giving a small smile. Shane gives her a look. "So you're just gonna leave me in the dark like that?" "I am good at that," Clara said.
