EJ and I were sat in my room for about an hour, and had nothing, when Ashlyn texted us and said the cast were meeting up in Big Red's basement.

For a little while, we all just kind of sat there, staring at each other in awkward silence.

"This is a terrible party," Natalie finally said, "There aren't even pretzels. What are we all doing here?"

"We all ended up in the same basement after a really bad day, so someone should say something." Ashlyn said.

"Fine. I'll say something." Carlos spoke up. "I'm mad at Miss Jenn."

"Why? Because she's got a couple skeletons in her closet?" Gina asked.

"No. Because she's giving up. She was the first teacher to not see me as a punchline, and now she's not even a real teacher?"

"Define 'real teacher'." Ashlyn stated.

"He's got a point."

"Does he though?"

"Guys."

"So, why are we all here then." I sighed, standing up.

"Isn't it obvious?" I asked. "None of us want this experience to be over. Because Miss Jenn gave us chances that no one else had given us. Like me, for example, she gave me an opportunity to be seen."

"She gave me a shot." Carlos added. "Its been a long time since someone gave me a shot."

"She gave me a voice." Nini threw in.

"Yeah, and now nobody's gonna get to hear it because Miss Jenn screwed up." Kourtney said.

"Ok, does anyone here actually care if her past is a little bit sketchy?" Ashlyn inquired. "Anyone?"

"I do." Ricky said.

"Seriously, dude?"

"What, because you live some perfect life?" Kourtney asked.

"Not at all. Because she put our show in jeopardy. And now we're all here, maybe for the last time, together, and for some of us, this has become...I don't know..."

"Family." Nini finished for him.

"What team?" Ricky asked.

"Wildcats." We all said quietly, unable to keep the smiles off of our faces.

"Ok Wildcats," Ashlyn said, "So, what are we doing about it?"

I smiled as an idea popped into my head. I stood up.

"What we do best." I said. They all looked at me, confused. "If you guys are down for a sleepless night, I say we show them just how important Miss Jenn is to us by showing them what she taught us."

"You want to do a performance?" Carlos asked. I smiled, nodding.

"This room is filled with some of the best dancers, singers, and song writters in the entire school! If anyone can pull this off, its us!" I said. "Carlos and the dancers can choreograph..."

"Only if you and Ashlyn write a song." Ricky said. I looked at Ashlyn.

"I have a track that we can use but...Megan you have to write the lyrics." She said. I smiled.

"Lets do this, Wildcats!"

Everyone jumped to work immediately. We pushed all of Big Red's furniture out of the way and the dancers began choreographing the number. Ashlyn and I were huddled in a corner wearing earbuds as I wrote the lyrics.

"Miss Jenn is like...our superhero." I said. "She stands for Truth, Justice..."

"And Songs in our Key." EJ suggested, walking past us while carrying a chair. I smiled, nodding.
