A new project

A few days later..

Heiko promised to meet his friend Till today at his house. Till wanted to show Heiko the new music project he has been working on for a long time now. He finally found the way how he wanted to present it to his fans.

It was a cold morning, exactly what you expect from a fall day. Heiko knocked on tills door. The door got opened by a guy that Heiko never had seen before. Heiko greeted the person and reached out his hand to introduce himself.

"Heiko"
"James I'm a friend of Till."
"nice to meet you"

Heiko walked into Tills house. He had already been here a lot of times, but he was still very impressed by the way Till decorated his house. There were some very old pictures on the walls, some paintings, and a few statues in a dick shape. "Typical" thought Heiko to himself. Till was that kind of friend that could make a sexual joke about everything! A real party starter.

"He's upstairs" hears Heiko behind him.
"Oh, Thank you."

Heiko walks up the over dramatic staircase. The carpet on the stairs always reminded him of these "rich people houses" you always see on television. Heiko knows exactly what room he has to go to and walks over there. When he opens the door, He entered a room filled with CHAOS. Lots of books everywhere, Lot's of papers with Till his messy writing on it hung on the walls.. Some album art drawings and pictures. Till was sitting at the desk with his legs up on the desk. He smiled at Heiko when he noticed him.

"Come sit down! I'm happy you are here!" He says while smoking a cigarette. Heiko sits down on the chair next to the desk.

"I see your creativity has gone wild again?"

Till laughs.. This laugh was something you won't see often from Till. He always likes to act like he has no feelings. People tend to be kind of scared of him. This has multiple reasons and sometimes Heiko thinks Till likes it that way.

Till is tall, he is very muscular and has the darkest mind you can ever have. But at the same time he could be the sweetest person, just hiding behind a mask of darkness.

Till stands up from the desk and asks Heiko if he would like to have a drink.
"Yes please.." does heiko hear himself say..
Heiko hasn't even said the full sentence and already regrets his decision. You never know what kind of drink you will get from Till. All you know is that it will mess with your head.

Till walks over the the liquor cabinet in the corner and takes 2 glasses while he mumbles:
" we are going to start of easy "
with a very disturbing smile after it.

Heiko laughs at till but already knows that he won't be able to do anything else today besides being at Tills house. He actually doesn't really mind it. Heiko is always fascinated about the way Till comes up with some dark ideas. Till hands Heiko a glass with a clear liquid in it.
"vodka?" Asks heiko..
Till laughs, "you think so?".
Heiko smells the liquid and directly notices that it's not just Vodka.
"Cheers!" Says Till. "On my new album and may a lot of crazy ideas follow"
"cheers!" Heiko takes a sip of the liquid and immediately feels the alcohol filling his body. It's actually way too early for this. But he doesn't care.

Till walks over to his laptop and turns it over to Heiko.
"Look at this!" He plays one of his news songs. And while he plays it he tells about his crazy video ideas. Heiko expected a lot of crazy things. But when Till was done with telling all his ideas, he was even shocked by the amount of craziness that goes around in Tills mind. A tour where people can not take pictures or video it, Because of some very risky things that will happen during the tour.. Yes.. Till has outdone himself once again!
"Sometimes I think you have reached the top of craziness, But you always seem to be able to go even higher" says Heiko.
Till laughs with a very disturbing laugh. This could be the laugh from a villain in a super hero movie.
"I'm only getting started! The world doesn't know what is coming.. want another drink?!"
"Let's do it says Heiko."

Just as Till and Heiko had another drink, Someone else enters the room.

"OFCOURS! how could it be any different, The two of you are drunk again!" They hear.

It was Chris. He started laughing. Till says:
"O! There is the wise guy!" That's how a lot of Heiko his friends referred to Chris. Chris was one of the 2 friends in the friend group that actually had a stable relationship and life.

"You coming to join us or are you going to judge us?" Says Till.

Chris sits down in the chair next to Heiko and says: "just one! I have more to do today".

Till stands up from his chair behind the desk to get Chris a drink. Heiko looks over at Chris. Chris and Heiko know each other for a very long time. Heiko and Chris didn't really like each other at first. But after some years, they could understand each other better and actually became close friends. They are the kind of friends that can be fully honest to each other without getting mad about it. Right when Heiko thought about this, he heard Chris say:

"you really look like shit today. You really need to rest."

Heiko laughed and said: "I know.. I bet I can sleep amazingly after these drinks".

Chris laughs about it. Till hands Chris his drink.
"What is it" asks Chris.
"A surprise" answered Till.

Chris his drink was colored black. If they wouldn't trust Till as much as they did, They could think it was some kind of poison. Chris takes a sip of the drink and pulls a disgusted face.

Till says: "you wanted just one, So then we have to do it the right way."

The three of them spend some hours talking and getting up some memories from the past months. They had been on tour and played in sold out stadiums.

Chris his favorite moment will always be the crowd clapping along to the beat he played on the drums.

Till his favorite moments were jokes he had with some fans in the first row. For example when a fan gave him a rubber duck that made a squeaking sound. Till used the duck trough-out the song and annoyed Richi with it. The perfectionist couldn't appreciate the joke. Moments like this are always great to remember.

Heiko treasures all of these memories. Every year he gets a new diary do write all the memories in. No matter if they are good or bad memories. He likes to treasure them all because he believes that these things change the way someone is.

When they finished their conversation and drinks heiko went home. It had started to rain. He didn't like the rain. He walked trough berlin and he couldn't help but wonder why everything looks so different, so depressing.. Just because of some rain.

He took out his headphones and played some music. Till asked him if he could listen to his new album and give his honest opinion. Heiko opened the secret album on his phone an scrolled trough the songs. for some reason the title: "wer weiß das schon" stood out to him. He played to song as he walked and couldn't help but feel like this song was speaking to him. It changed the way he was feeling. The rain didn't bother him anymore, He felt calm..

when the song ended, he messaged Till: "Why does this song speak to me so much?."

When Heiko arrived at his home he couldn't help but feel a bit alone. His home was empty, nobody there waiting for him. He walked directly to his bedroom, and laid down on the bed. His head was spinning, and he felt a bit depressed. To get rid off this feeling he turned on the new album from Till. He was now pretty curious if there were some other songs that could cheer him up. After some songs, Heiko stood up and walked to the bookshelf that's hung on the wall. He took his diary from the shelf and took a pen, He spend some hours writing down his thoughts.. Heiko lost his thoughts in the papers, and the words which he wrote down. until his attention got pulled to a sound that he hadn't heard in a very long time.. An acoustic guitar. Heiko thought to himself "Till.. Till.. You are a special creature" he put down the book and looked at the time, 19:00.. Time to get some food he thought. He was now pretty sober again and decided to go out and grab some dinner. He texted Richi if he had plans and if he had time to join him for dinner..
