The knight

2 days later..

Heiko was sleeping when he got abruptly woken up by Till who flipped his mattress upside down.

"RISE AND SHINE" he screamed.

Heiko fell on the floor and looked with confusion around him. It took him some moments to realize what just had happened.

"Morning" he said with his morning voice.

He reached for his phone and saw it was 5:00 am.

"It's so early?! Why are we awake at this time?"
"We have a lot to do my friend" said Till while he threw a shirt at Heiko.

Heiko stood up and packed some clothes.
"Give me half an hour!" Said Heiko as he walked into the bathroom.

He heard Till walking out the room, down the creaking stairs. Once heiko was done he walked downstairs.

"FINALLY!" Said Till who sat at the kitchen counter.

Richi walked into the kitchen in his boxers.

"What is this chaos about?"
"Nothing richi.. everything is good! Go back to sleep."
"Have fun today" said richi, who walked back to his room.

"Let's go" said till.
He took a backpack from the counter and gave heiko his camera.

"You might want to take this with you" he said with a friendly smile.
"Yes.. thank you..but shouldn't we eat breakfast first?"
"we will do that later" said till while pushing heiko towards the door.

They sat down in the car, Till at the wheel and Heiko at the passenger seat. Till drove off the property. Along the way they listened to music and enjoyed the views. Then Till said out of nowhere:

"be honest with me now.. "
heiko looked at him.
"What?"
"What is happening between you and richi?"
He took a deep breath
"Fully honest.. I don't know"
"how do you mean you don't know?"
"Like I say.. I don't know"
"you like him don't you?" He said without moving his eyes off the road.
"I do.. or I think I do.."
"oke.. " till said with a straight face.
"Is that bad..?"
"Why would that be bad?"
"Well.. you don't seem happy about it.."
"I never seem happy.."

it stayed quiet for a while.

Then till said: "I would be happy for you both.. but I would like to know when something is going on."
"There isn't so far" said heiko while looking out the side window.

He was a bit nervous to face Till.

"Heiko.. look at me" heiko looked over at till.
"I am honest. I would be happy for the both of you.. "
"Thank you Till.."
"oke.. I am done questioning you.. for now" said Till.

They drove further until they reached a little town. Till parked the car and said:

"Give me your phone".
"Why?" "Come on.."

heiko gave Till his phone.

"1299 wasn't it?"
"Why do you need my password?"

Till unlocked heiko his phone and opened the messages with Richi. He send richi a message.

"Let's go!" He said when he put heiko his phone in his pocket.
"what did you do?"
"You will find out when we are back home".

Till got out the car. Heiko followed. They looked around in the small town for a while and found a cafe.

"This should be a great place to get some breakfast." Said till.

They sat down and ate breakfast.

When they were done they had to do a long walk towards the castle. The walk went trough a forest and gave an amazing view of the castle and the mountains. Heiko took some amazing photos on their way to the castle. At the castle they took a tour. At some point during the tour till whispered to Heiko:

"don't you think this tour could use some excitement?!"
"WHAT are you planning? Behave!"
"Calm down... I am just going to have some fun."

Till walked up to the tour guide.

"May I ask you a question?"
"Definitely!" Said the tour guide.
"These armor.. how were people able to go to the toilet with this?"

The tour guide looked embarrassed.
"Ehh..."
the other guests laughed about it.
"I will get back to that some day."
Till laughed..
"sorry I had to" he said to Heiko.
"It's oke.. I know how bored you must be now.. since you hate tours" he laughed.

They kept listening to the guide. When the tour was over they sat down outside.

"So.. want to go down to the lake as well? Mr. hiersche?" Heiko agreed.
They walked down to the lake. Once they were down the mountain Till said:

"now you need a picture to remember this day."

He took Heiko his phone out his pocket and took a picture of Heiko with the castle.
"Now one more with the lake."
Heiko walked to the lake and smiled.
"Not like that! I want the EMOTIONAL instagram model picture."
Heiko laughed.
"How do you do that? I'm not a model"
"first of all.. don't face the camera"

they both had some fun with the pictures. When they finally got the perfect pictures, they walked to a little cafe nearby. They drank something and they ate some.

"Do you want to stay till it gets dark?" Asked till.
"Ehh why?"
"Because there will be lights and all that stuff on the castle. I figured you like that as a photographer"
"I do like that.."

they both waited around till it got dark. They had the biggest fun watching all the tourists posing for the same pictures. After a while of observing, Till walked up to a group of tourists.

"Hallo.." he said.
They all greeted him back.
"Did you know.. that if you touch this rock, it will bring you goodluck?"

Heiko watched till in disbelief. All the tourists believed Till and started touching the rock.

"What did you do?" Asked heiko when till came walking back.
"I might have lied.. just enjoy the show"

after a while, a lot of people started touching the rock. They both laughed about it. When it got dark they took some pictures and headed back to the car. They had a long drive to go..

Till could visibly see that Heiko was so much happier. He knew that he really needed this. He felt happy for him.

Heiko fell asleep during the car right back. Days like this were pretty tough for him sometimes because he dealt with his anemia. But he loved it so much. When they came back to the farm, Till carried Heiko out the car into the building.

Richi was sitting with Chris at the kitchen counter playing a card game. Till walked up to them: "I think you should take it from here." Handing Heiko over to richi. "Goodnight" said till as Richi walked to his room carrying Heiko with him..
