It's the middle of the day and we're at Wings n Rings.  The closer it's getting to dinner, the more crowded it gets.  I'm a little impressed with my dad's restaurant to be honest.  I laugh at Lyssa who is waiting a table of cute guys.  She is having too much fun over there.

For some reason she points over to me.  Wait, what?  They stare at me and one winks.  It's just supposed to be nice, but I turn around quickly and bump into a stack of cups.  Shit!

There's no crash though.  Danny caught the stack in his hands and places it back by the soda machine.

"Thanks." I bit my lip.

"No need to thank me, I just happened to be there when it happened." He shrugs.

I stand there rocking back and forth in my converse.  Well this is great, I seem like such a clumsy person.  I guess he doesn't hate me because he tries to make conversation.

"Are you here a lot?" Danny asks, "Being Mr. Ross' daughter and all?"

"Opposite of that actually.  Surprise."

"Oh gotcha." He nods.

"Why arn't you two working?!" The lady behind the bar snaps.

"Why are you annoying as shit?" Danny mumbles.

I laugh under my breath and Danny pulls me away from the bar.  He quickly grabs a couple cups with him.

"Hold a cup or two and we'll look like we're working." He says.

"Fine." I nod.

Lyssa and I both have a certain section but she seems fine taking the tables.  It's the influence of hot boys, it's obvious.  My dad glances at Danny and I confused so we put on our act that we're "working".  Once he's out of sight, I lead the way to the front desk.  Mints.

"Shhhh." I smile widely.

He gets what I mean and starts to smile too.  We casually take a handful of mints into our pockets.  On the side of the restaurant there's a small area of games.  Danny sits in the seat of one of the car games.

"Hey man, that'd be great if you moved." He says to the guy next to him.

"But-  Fine." The guy sighs.

Danny pats the seat next to him and I hop on over.  Immediately, we both have our mints in our lap and start eating them.  This place sure did pick delicious mints.  I steal a couple each time I leave.

"Open wide." He blurts.

I open my mouth and try not to laugh.  Oh god, is he going to throw one in my mouth because that never works for me.  Ok, yes he is.
