Ok, just smile. Then people will smile back. I'm am most definitely not going to be a nobody like back home! I opened the door of my new British boarding school- Brookwood Academy. My dad's too busy with work to 'watch' me. More like he doesn't care for me. I'm glad we moved from America to UK. I barely had any friends/boyfriends back home and really hope I will here. I've never been to a boarding school though.

I realized I was standing in the doorway not moving. The instructions were to go to the head office, so I can get information and all. Truthfully, I have no clue where it is. I tried to look friendly, but couldn't help to feel down when people glared and whispered about me. Was I really that bad? But oh my god, this place is huge! I would be living here? It's like a college campus. But right now I just really need someone to help me.

"You look like you need some help." Some blondie said walking next to me. Wow, ok! "Actually I do! Thank you so much. Can you get me to the head office?" "Sure. And wait...are you the new American girl?" This guy replied. I just noticed he had a pretty strong Irish accent. I nodded then he gave me a toothy smile. Thank the lord for this guy. I would probably still be lost if he didn't help me.

"Here it is. I'm Niall by the way". He exclaimed and stuck out his hand. I shook it gladly and replied, "Thanks so much Niall! I'm Grace". He smiled to himself and said, "Well. Errr.. cya around". Then he walked away. I guess now I have to go in the office. But yeah...I'm Grace. I wish it was Gracie but my dad or few friends ,that I don't have, never call me that. I have big brown eyes and brown wavy hair. Pretty normal and boring right?

"Grace?" A man said while opening the door. "Yep that's me". I replied and gave a fake smile. He welcomed me into his office and I took a seat across from his desk. He didn't look nice at all though. Scary. "I'm Mr. Jones, the principle. Here's your schedule and your roommate will give you a tour. She knows your coming." Mr. Jones said making serious eye contact that was freaking me out. I shook his hand and waited for him to say something...but nothing. Is that it? I slowly stood up and he nodded approvingly at me. What the heck is this?

I stepped out of his office and looked at my schedule. At the top it had information about my dorm. But how do I find this? I just then noticed the Niall kid. He was humming to himself while sitting randomly on the ground. "Umm..hi. Why are you on the ground?" I asked laughing softly. He stood up and explained, "Well I knew you probably wouldn't be able to find your room so I waited." I watched him closely. I giggled because I was expecting British accents but I get this guy. "Hey..what you laughing at." Niall blurted and squinted his eyes. "You. Now lets go!" I exclaimed and skipped off causing him to have to catch up with me.

"So yeah, the boy's dorms are on one side of the building and the girl's on the other. It's a rule that the boys can't go in the girls dorm hallway and vice versa. So I'm leaving you here. Your room numbers 30, at the end of the hall." Niall explained quickly. "Thanks again mister" I said and smiled at him. We stood there awkwardly. "How am I going to find you again? I mean this place is huge" I asked breaking the silence and motioned around me. Niall replied, "Lets just say...I'm in the cafe a lot. I like food." I laughed and was about to give him a hug but got cut off from him giving me a peace sign. I gave him a sheepish smile and muttered, "Bye". Wow, a peace sign Niall? Really. I couldn't stop laughing quietly to myself as I opened the doors to the girls dorm hallway.

My eyes widened. How could I not hear all this noise from outside the double doors. "Oath" by Cher Lloyd was playing and girls were everywhere screaming, laughing, dancing, doing homework, painting nails, and basically anything. I chuckled watching girls trying to shove a hyper, curly haired guy out of our hall. Well I guess he's not supposed to be in here anyways.

This hallway was awesome though. I wandered around a little. At least people weren't glaring at me, like outside. It was very welcoming. Right when you walk in there's a big circular area with couches and music (where most people are hanging out). Then there's 4 other hallways off of the circle area labeled Showers, Year 10, Year 11, Year 12.

Since I'm 16 years old (a/n .. 1d will look like how they did on the x factor then) I'm in Year 11 so I went that way. Niall said it's room 30 at the end of the hall.

Who is going to be my roommate though? On the door I was standing in front of, it said 'Room 30'. I guess this is it. I took a deep breath and knocked. It swung open and A girl was smirking at me. Not in a mean way though. She had big wavy brown hair (poofed in the back), a lot of makeup, big brown eyes, and a cool style of wearing clothes. (a/n Cher Llyod plays her) "I'm Rochelle, you're my roommate then?" This girl said chewing her gum. I nodded and introduced myself, "I'm Grace" She squealed, "I've been waiting forever to meet ya." I chuckled and noticed a British accent finally! Oh yeah!

I stepped in and it was a pretty small room. Two twin sized beds on each side of the room, a closet, dresser, window, and side table. What I expected. "Don't worry all rooms are shitty, not just ours." Rochelle said answering my thoughts. I replied, "No the rooms fine. Anyways...is this boarding school..you know, fun? Boring?" "Grace you have no idea how much fun your going to have here." Rochelle exclaimed with a smile. I decided to act cool and say, "Does this involve parties on weekends?." She nodded happily and added, "The boys are great too." "That's always a good thing. Also your name is pretty cool, I like it!" I said. Rochelle smiled and replied, "Thanks, I like yours. Can I call you Gracie?" Yes, finally someone can call me that! "Sure! Can I call you Chelle?" I exclaimed a little too happy. 'Chelle' nodded and said, "You just got yourself a new best friend."
