Recap:

'So that's it then? We just wait until the King comes to us?'

'We don't wait.  . . We meet him halfway. We continue on the path we were all heading to. . . and make our way. . . here.
To the Zonas pack.'

'When he's alone, am I ever on his mind?'

'Listen to me carefully. . . Don't put yourself in Lilliana's debt, ever.'

'Equivalent Exchange?'                          'If Lilliana heals a broken arm, you'd probably need to give her a pint of blood. . . or on some days, a finger.'

'In the upcoming days, I'm thinking of having a small exercise, to judge the strength of our soldiers, to see how I've recovered. . .  and to test Elliot's abilities.'

'Then I guess I should end all of this quickly, huh?'

'I would prefer you all sacrifice for Elliot, than for her to sacrifice for you.'

'I just hope you don't come to hate me in the days to come.'

The King and the rest of Deimos' wolves are on their way. The Leaders of the camp devised a plan to resupply at the Zonas Pack.

Elliot still sees black flames, a reminder of the realm she entered after losing control of her cursed form. It beckons to her.

Deimos, after his return from training and recuperation, had asked to perform certain military exercises, to measure the strength of the warriors, and most importantly, to analyze the potential of Elliot's abilities.

Lilliana's equivalent exchange still hangs over the two wolves, Gray and Marley. The cost of bringing a being from the grip of death always has a price to pay. Deimos' grasp and influence is now on the pair, and lessened the burden of the exchange. His reasoning, seemingly straightforward. As usual, he sees something there that no one else can see.

The rest of his intentions are unclear.

Elliot's POV

A couple of days passed, and that evening with Deimos seemed like a distant memory. Almost a day later, our relationship went back to being as distant as he always was. This time, however, he seemed busier than before. Unfortunately, because of how busy I also was, I couldn't stalk- no, 'tag along with him from a distance.' Whenever I did spot him, however, I was often confused by who he was speaking with.

I first saw him with Marley, who seemed very firm with her words. He didn't say much, but the words that did come up seemed to silence her.

The second time was with Europa, who was more reserved, and their conversation seemed a lot less confrontational. Later on, all the patrols from the white wolves changed dramatically.
