Elliot's POV

"I think I'm dying. . . What's that bright light? Is that. . . Is that your voice, Mother?"

"What is that? You want me to join you? Can I really do that? But your so far away-"

"Shut up, male."

Athena flicked his injured nose, and he squealed, before dramatically rolling back and forth. I sighed, before giving Athena a look. She huffed, before folding her arms.

"Enough Athena. Just pick him up, and let's be on our way."

"Wait, I'm the one that's picking him up?" She asked in bewilderment. "He's fine! Let him walk on his own-"

"My knee! Oh, the pain! And my ankle! I think it's BROKEN!"

"I didn't even hit you there! Young Empress, let him walk on his-"

"Supporting him will be your punishment for not obeying me when I told you to stop."

Athena's eyes widened, then she glared at the man, who wasn't even trying to hide his smirk. "As you wish. . . Young Empress."

She crouched down next to the man, before grabbing his arm and putting it around her shoulders. "If you so much as breath on me the wrong way, I'll end you."

She stood up with the male, before speaking. "Now, tell us where your base is."

"I never said anything about taking you to my-"

Athena raised her fist, and he squealed.

"Did you say Base? O-of course I'll take you there! I'll take you to any 'base' you want to go!" He said, before laughing nervously.

I sighed. He was back to playing around.

"Which direction?" I asked, and he quickly pointed in the direction.

So that's where we headed.

"Speaking about bases. . . Miss Athena. . . after this, how about I take you to third base-"

He suddenly yelped, and I could tell that she hit him again.

"Guys. . ." I said warningly, without turning around.

They remained mostly silent for the rest of the journey, with the only commentary coming from the Doc.

As fauna thickened, I realized that we had gotten very far from the pack, and basically the clearing.

Again, in the corner of my mind, I felt myself longing for the reassuring presence of Deimos. I shook my head.

I shouldn't depend on him for everything.

I was a Luna now, I had to learn how to do things on my own.

I puffed my cheeks.

Plus, he was huge poohead for abandoning me in a time of need, so I don't plan on forgiving him anytime soon.

"Poohead. I hope you trip and fall. . . into poo. And then cry. Like a baby", I said with puffed cheeks.

"It's just up ahead."

I turned to Doc, whose signature smirk was now gone.

He then straightened up, rejecting the support of Athena. "Watch your step."

I frowned, then looked down-

A large eye was looking back up at me.

I hopped back, and watched as a large wolf rose from the snow it was submerged in. It then yawned, before proceeding to lick itself.

"You little. . ."

Doc suddenly rushed past us, and began kicking the huge wolf. "I never told you to beat the guy up like that! What if you killed him, huh? Why do you always do this? You never listen to the simplest of commands! Now I gotta make some stupid N2s! I just wanted to laze around today, maybe drink a few bottles of that whiskey. . . but no! You just had to screw up!"

The large wolf was completely unbothered, and continued to lick itself.

As it turned my head, I finally recognized who the wolf was.

It was the rogue that brought Kenji back to my pack.

"So, he did work for you", I said, and the Doc turned around. "Yeah. He's my partner in crime, and Co founder of my empire."

Doc patted the wolf, and in response, the wolf wrapped its jaws around his upper body.
