"S-sir? U-um Mister?!", a voice called out to me, viciously pulling me out of my chilling memories.

I took deep, shaky breaths while holding my chest, in an attempt to slow down my heartbeat, which was beating at about a mile a minute.

I quickly grabbed my bag, frantically digging through it until I found the small bottle of pills I carried.

I turned over the bottle, releasing two white circular pills, and popped them into my mouth. The tenseness and anxiety slightly disappeared, leaving me alone with my hazed thoughts.

Well, not that alone.

I turned to face the omega, who was now sitting next to me a look of worry plastered unto her face. "Its Deimos. Don't call me sir again", I said flatly. In an instant, she quickly turned her face, red slowly filling her cheeks.

"S-sorry, I didn't know what to-um. . . Sorry. . . I-I'm Elliot", she replied, her face still turned from me.

Her attention soon turned from me to the bottle of pills in my hand. "W-what were those?" she asked, her eyes glued back onto me.

I didn't feel that inclined to answer her but I strangely answered her anyway. "Suppressants", I lazily replied. She seemed to not understand and I let out a deep sigh.

"Its a safe form of silver canxyde. It helps to suppress my wolf but unfortunately slows down my regeneration as well as stops me from shifting"- "Why would you want to suppress your. . . suppress your wolf?" she slowly asked. "My wolf-"

Wait.

Why am I answering her? Why am I talking so much around her?

"What's with all the questions?", I sternly asked, anger and confusion suddenly swirling within me. She flinched at my words with a slight look of guilt in her eyes. "I-I'm sorry! I didn't mean to . . .", she quickly answered, her body clearly shaking from my voice.

"But. . . But! I-I just. . .", she continued, her large orbs boring holes into mine.

Upon seeing my lack of emotion, she turned away, her tiny hands balling into fists.

I reluctantly began thinking over her question. I knew what my wolf was and still is capable of but I couldn't remember why I would want to suppress my wolf in the first place, or even when I began to do so. This made me realize that I still didn't have all my memories.

After a while of scanning through my memories I passed my hands roughly through my jet black hair before letting out another long sigh. I gestured for her to continue her annoying interrogation and she visibly relaxed a little.

"Umm. . . some people from the pack were saying, that someone that can take down so many rogues. . . Had to be a cursed wolf."

"Well what do you think? Do I look like a cursed wolf?", I asked. She shrugged her shoulders and then looked at me, innocently expecting a reply.

Hmmm.

I slowly leaned my body towards her until my face was mere inches away from hers. I unconsciously let out a growl of satisfaction as I heard her breathing and her heartbeat quicken from my sudden action.

"Have you ever seen a Male werewolf with grey eyes before", I slowly asked, pointing at my dull grey orbs.

". . . U-um I don't-I mean I-I never dum-I just thought!. . .", she stammered, getting more flustered and making even less sense as I slowly leaned even closer to her.

My awareness towards her suddenly increased as my eyes quickly skimmed over her body and landed on her perfect, slightly open lips.

I wanted to touch her.

I quickly pulled away as even more strange thoughts now tortured my restless mind.

I quickly cleared my throat then turned back to the fire which was now slowly dwindling down, and tried to regather my thoughts. ". . . That's one way of recognizing a cursed wolf. A Cursed wolf 's fur is also pitch black in color", I finally continued, my eyes still on the orange flames.

"O-oh", she replied, tucking a lock of hair behind her ear.

"How do I get to Spring Haven from here?" I asked suddenly remembering my predicament. From there she told me all about the pathways and human towns around the area.

Apparently there was a straight path in the northern westerly direction that her pack usually traveled on. It was a challenging, narrow, hilly path but it was the quickest route.

There was also another path which took longer to travel but was much easier. However because of a dispute between the pack and the human towns along the path they usually steer clear from it.

"Um Deimos. . . my pack. . . they'll start travelling to Spring Haven soon. Why don't you join us? At least till your wounds heal, or even"-

"I travel better alone . . . Besides, I don't think that your pack will agree to that anyway", I immediately answered, not letting her finish her sentence.

From the corner of my eyes I saw the omega's body stiffen and her hands fell to her side.

There was only silence after that, except for our breathing and the crackling of the little fire ahead of me.

"Why are people so afraid of you?"

Her words suddenly broke the silence between us, making my eyes fall unto her once again. Her eyes glistened and a pained look covered her face as she spoke again.

"Everyone has this look on their face when they talk about you. Fear. . . Anger. . . even sadness. Your presence suddenly has everyone on edge. . . Gray never attacked someone for no reason before yet as soon as he saw you he. . .", she trailed off.

I nodded realizing that she must of been talking about the patrol wolf that attacked me. Then a strange question popped into my head.

"Are you afraid of me?"

"W-what? why do you- I mean"-

"Are. you. afraid of me?"

She slowly averted her eyes from me to the ground, then back to me, all while playing with her fingers. "Not really. . . I don't think so", she slowly said, her body cautiously awaiting my response. "And why is that?" I asked. She clearly didn't know how to answer so I continued.

"So does this also mean that you trust me?"

"I-I"

"Why do you trust a stranger that everyone is afraid of?"

She didn't say anything. She just looked at me. "Don't trust anyone", I said turning my body towards her. "Why no-" she stopped instantly as I swung my fist at her, stopping mere inches from her face.

"Because your trust almost got you killed".
