We drive back to the academy and walk inside.

"Let's head up to my room." Five says.

I follow him up until he stops dead in his tracks at Klaus's door.

"Ow!" I say as I bump into him.

Five looks at Klaus then across the hall.

"What are you looking at-" I follow Fives gaze to see a trail of blood from the bathroom to Klaus.

Five slowly walks in and taps the door lightly.

"You ok?" He asks.

Klaus groaned as he puts his shirt on. I walked into the room with Five.

"Yeah just...long night," Klaus muttered.

"More than one, by the looks of it." Five says. I give him a confused look.

"Yep..."

"Don't remember the dog tags." Five points out. I look to see two dog tags on a chain around Klaus's neck.

"They belonged to uh...friend."

"How about that new tattoo?" Five asks.

"Y'know, I totally don't remember even getting it." Klaus sighed. "Like I said, it was a long night."

"You did it didn't you?" Five said.

"What are you talking about?" Klaus said as he sat down on his bed.

"Y'know I can recognize the symptoms, Klaus."

" Symptoms of what," Klaus muttered.

"Jetlag. Full body itch. The headache that feels like someone shoved a box of cotton up your nose and through your brain."

I finally realized what Five was talking about. Klaus had time traveled.

"Wanna talk about it?" Five asks.

"When those psychos broke into the house and couldn't find you, they took me hostage instead."

"And in return, you stole their briefcase." I finish, looking at Klaus.

"Yeah, I thought there was money, or I could pawn it, y'know? Whatever. Then I opened it..."

"Where did you go? Or should I say when?" I ask.

"What difference does it make," Klaus says as he stares blankly at the floor.

"What difference does it make-ok, how long were you gone?" Five asks, pacing around the room.

" Almost a year."

"A year?" Five stops, looking at Klaus, his eyebrows raised.

"Do you know what this means?"

" Yeah, I'm 10 months older," Klaus says. I scoff.

"No, this isn't some joke, Klaus. Hazel and Cha-Cha will do whatever to get that breifcase." Five snaps.

"Where is it now?"

"Gone." Klaus simply says.

"What do you mean gone?" I ask quickly.

"I destroyed it. Poof." Klaus made an exploding gesture with his hands.

"What the hell were you think?" Five snaps.

"Why do you care?" Klaus shot back.

"Why do I care- I needed it, you moron!"

Klaus sighs and gets up. He pushes past Five and I.

"Wait, where are you going?" I ask.

"Just, leave me alone. Interrogation over." He says, then he is gone.

"Shit." Five mutters.

He sits at Klaus's desk and grabs a pen and one of the Umbrella Academy note pads.

"What are you writing?" I ask.

"A note to Hazel and Cha-Cha. I have an idea."
