"Anak are you ready?" napalingon ako sa likod ko ng magsalita si mom

I gasped and looked at my phone kanina ko pa kasi tinatawagan yung number ni Chen pero puro ring lang ito.

It has been a week since I was discharged from the hospital, and I'm currently at the condo to get my things, and yes ngayon na ang balik ko ng pinas.

I just wanted to talk to her before I leave kahit makapag pasalamat manlang ako, but she didn't answer my calls since yesterday.

kala ko ba hindi sya galit sakin? but why do I still feel like she's avoiding me?

I looked around the entire condo one last time.

"Wait mom..." I looked at the wedding ring on my hand, and without hesitation, I removed it and threw it in the trash can.

Ngumiti sa akin si Mom at tuluyan na kaming lumabas.....

Tahimik ang paligid at konti palang ang mga sasakyan sa daan dahil 4:00am palang.

It's fortunate that my doctor approved my trip because I was on the verge of losing my mind from thinking about Kate.

I just need to be cautious because my stitch is still healing and the bruises and wounds on other parts of my body are still visible. Fortunately, the bruise on my face could still be concealed with makeup.

Napakunot nalang ang noo ko ng lumagpas sa airport yung sinasakyan namin.

"Where are we going?" Takang tanong ko pero ngiti lang ang sinagot sa akin ni dad.

at may mga bodyguard pa, one of them came to our car and opened the door for me so I could get out, inalalayan naman ako nitong makababa.

"What?! Dad hindi nyo naman kailangang ibili nyo ko ng ganyan" I said

"You're welcome" Dad said at kumindat pa kaya natawa nalang ako

nauna na syang maglakad kaya sumunod nalang ako habang si mom ay kanina pa pala nakasakay dahil sa pagka excited.

I didn't notice the time because I had fallen asleep, and I only awoke because my stomach was grumbling from hunger.

I noticed that there was food prepared on the side table where I was sitting and that there was also a box with a gold ribbon, so I took it.

I smiled when I saw what was inside the box—a new phone, and it's from mom.
