Max Pt. 1

Max's POV:

Did I switch up on Elizabeth for Olivia? No. Did I support my bestie's decision? Yes. Unlike those heathens. Kidding. I love my friends. But someone needed to be her hype man.

I was about to go to sleep whenever I heard 'Summertime Sadness' by Lana play. Oh hell no. I walked up and I was about to knock but I heard 'Cry baby' by Megan playing in her room. I went up to each door and it was Sabrina

I- this girl has feelings? I'm joking. Unless...... but seriously. She rarely shows us emotion. She's got happiness on full autopilot.

"Max what are you doing by Sabrina's door?" I was startled. It was Madison "You scared me Madison!"she laughed a little "again.....what are you doing by her door, max?"I rolled my eyes

"why are you even up? You should be getting rest. Lord knows you need it" I said while laughing a little. I never told anyone but Madison gave off a weird vibe.

It was new though. I don't know, ever since a few days ago I've just felt off about Madison

"I'm waiting for y/n. We're gonna watch Rick and Morty together" for some reason I felt really protective over y/n.

My gut was telling me something was off. My eyes then shifted to something in her hand

"Whats that in your hand?" I said pointing to her hand that had two little pills "they're for my headaches max. You know how much stress I get throughout the day" she said

She had shown me her glass of water before taking them in front of me "Oh. What are you doing?" I said, confused. I stopped her before she headed towards y/n's room.

"Getting y/n. Move, max" she said said and shoved me a little. I shoved her hand away from the door knob

"Madison, go to your room" I said. Standing my ground. I'm not letting her near her. "Max, stop acting weird" I stood between her and the door knob "Go. To. Your. Room. Madison" I said more stern.

"Max what is your issue?" She said and I shook my head "I- I don't know. Just leave her alone. She deserves some time to herself." She rolled her eyes and didn't budge. She then tried to push me away again before I grabbed onto her arm

"Max. Ow!" I pushed her arm away. "Madison I won't tell you again. Either you go to your room, or I make you. Leave. Her. Alone!" Madison was giving off a red flag that my mind couldn't figure out yet.

All I know is that you always trust your gut. My gut is telling me to protect her from Madison and I will protect this girl day and night if I have to.

I made that as one of my promises to Selena. I'd look out for her sister and that's what I'm doing

"Geez. Alright. Night" She rolled her eyes and walked to her room. She locked her door and I could hear her tv playing in the back ground.

I knocked on her door and I could hear her music. But I couldn't hear her.

"Y/n?" I knocked again. Her light, her music, and tv were on. I opened the door carefully and looked around.

I saw her asleep at her desk. I pulled the chair out and picked her up. I put her in her bed and covered her up

I went to her desk and was careful to clean it up. I turned off her music and tv. I put her phone on the charger before turning off the light and going to my room.

Was I too harsh to Madison? What if my gut feeling was wrong? I mean my gut feeling once told me to eat that chili dog at the carnival and then the next thing I know I end up throwing up on a rollercoaster.

I was about to knock on her door to apologize when I overheard her on the phone "No I didn't get to spend any time with her this time" with who? Y/n? I put my ear closer to the door and I kept listening

Yes, yes I know. "Max it's not right being a nosy bitch" well I'm proud to be a nosy bitch. I love being the gossip girl of the group. But like the smarter guy version.

"No! It wasn't my fault. Max wouldn't let me anywhere near her. I don't know why" Uh maybe cause you're giving me very much Ted Bundy vibes? Maybe that was a Lil too much.

How about "maybe cause you're giving me very much danger vibes"

Eh, I like the first one more. "No, he doesn't know. I'll make sure he doesn't. No one can compromise what we're doing, Jack" is Madison some sort of spy?

Drug lord? Criminal? Oh my god..... is Madison.... Spider-Man? I knew it.

"Look. The worse that could happen is I get charged and you get charged. It doesn't matter though, I have great contacts. Look, I'll swing over tomorrow to pick up some more and I'll host a little dinner or whatever for me and her and I'll use it then. This time I'm using more..." I was listening when all of a sudden my phone dropped out of my pocket

"No. Look, she'll be out for maybe a day or two but I'll just say she got sick and- what was that? Hey Jack I'm gonna have to call you later...." I quickly picked the phone up and ran into the restroom

It was dark but I could see her door opening and her walking out and looking around. I then see her walk downstairs. I take this as my cue to go to my room. I quietly close the door and lay on my bed.

I was about to go to sleep whenever I get a knock on my door. My heart drops. FUCK! She knows. Be cool. BE FUCKING COOL I SAID! I walk up to my door and make it seem like I've been in bed. I just take off my shirt and mess up my hair.

Luckily I had my PlayStation on already. I open the door and see Madison there. "Hey... Mads. What up?" What up? Really? What are you? An amateur?! "Hey max. Just wanted to come by and see what you were up to" LIAR

"Oh. Well I'm currently playing right now. Did you wanna come join?" She thought for a second "it's alright. Maybe tomorrow night?" I nodded my head and she smiled before leaving
