𝐃𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐤 𝐇𝐚𝐥𝐞 𝐰𝐚𝐬𝐧'𝐭 𝐝𝐞𝐚𝐝. In fact, he was better than ever after his close brush with death as he could now transform into a full wolf. Nova had practically jumped into her father's arms when she saw him. The humid air of Mexico not stopping her from wrapping her arms around him tightly.

She couldn't watch the hunters drag Peter's unconscious body into the van, instead deciding to hug the woman who had practically saved her dads life. Braeden stumbled back at the contact but soon awkwardly patted the blonde girl in response.

"Do I get a hug?" The sudden voice of her boyfriend broke her away from the older woman. Nova smiled brightly at the boy, who could still see the sadness and regret that flashed behind her eyes at the event that had just occurred.

Liam reached out gently to his girl, who gladly accepted his embrace. The two winding their arms around one another like they had done many times before. The blonde girl couldn't help but dig her face into the boy's body, taking a deep breath and inhaling his scent.

"Why are you burying your face in my chest?" The Dunbar teen grinned down at the girl who was still nuzzled into him.

"Because you smell like home."

The comment made Liam blush, but a loud puking noise came from behind them. Nova rolled her eyes as she pulled away from the boy, Stiles standing there with a face of disgust while the rest of the pack scolded him for it.

"I wasn't talking to you, Bitchass." The blonde huffed out as she raised her middle finger to the boy, who then rolled his eyes in reply. But she couldn't help but beam at her friends who surrounded her. Nova knew she had done the right thing with Peter; these people were her family. She knew they loved her unconditionally.

Something which soon prompted her to tell them the truth. The long drive back home from Mexico was the perfect time for her two explain everything. From her uncle's evil plans to losing her powers, she said it all.

"Your species is evil, but you're not Nova. You proved that today and we're proud of you." Scott tenderly told the girl once they had finally gotten into Beacon Hills. They now stood outside the loft, the pack parting ways after the long journey. The fellow supernaturals and Stiles agreed with the alphas word as they knew how hard it would be for the girl to become human after a lifetime of being different.

"At least I can get drunk now." The blonde cheekily replied as she tried to lighten the mood. However, a stern look from her dad soon made her squeal out a 'kidding.'

It felt weird. The pack being together, alive and happy. Usually, there was bloodshed and tears, but nothing. No heartache or death. Just normality. And Nova wouldn't have it any other way. There was just one thing nagging at the back of her head, however, so once the teens had said their goodbyes, only leaving Liam behind, the blonde was quick to grab his hand and pull him into the loft where Derek had vanished into minutes ago.

"Mom, Dad, Pete - oh, wait... Family meeting!" The girl shouted into the loft, stuttering slightly when she remembered the situation which had just occurred.

Liam was beyond confused as to what his girlfriend was up to, but once an older dark-haired woman came running into the living room and dragged the girl beside him into a bone-crushing embrace, he guessed he was finally meeting the parents. Derek soon reappeared, his face dropping slightly at the sight of the boy who stood awkwardly behind his daughter.

It took Nova a couple of seconds to collect her thoughts, but pulling away from the woman, she swiftly grabbed Liam's sweaty hand and turned to her parents with a smile.

"Mom, dad. This is Liam. My, my boyfriend.."

Silence filled the loft. You could hear a pin drop at how quiet it was. Nova expected it to be uncomfortable, but this, this was hell. Neither of the two had said anything in what seemed like hours when in reality, it was only a few seconds. That was until Morgan suddenly squealed out loudly before jumping around like a teenage girl.

"Mom! Stop, you are embarrassing me." The blonde cried out, digging her face into Liam's chest again as if it would swallow her whole.

"Uh, it's nice to meet you, Mrs Hale." Liam finally spoke up once the woman had calmed down and composed herself. The mom practically jumped at shaking the boy's hand he had out, pulling him into a kind hug and insisting he calls her Morgan before letting him wrap his arm back around the blonde.

However, the same enthusiasm couldn't be said for the girl's father, as Derek stood there with a blank face and cold demeanour that pissed off his daughter to no end. It was the harsh nudge his wife gave him to the ribs which pushed the man out of his hump. The father couldn't help but force a slight smirk upon his face before flashing his eyes blue in warning to the young beta.

"Just remember Dunbar, you break her heart. I break your everything."
