Memory

Hope had finally been able to drift off to sleep after her outburst at her parents, and Aunt for keeping this a secret, and lying at it.

She hadn't realized that she began dreaming, and noticed familiar figures in the car herself when she was a baby, and Jackson Kenner. Although, Hope noticed another baby beside her, and wondered who's baby is that? Freya told her once she grew older that Jackson died in the hands of Tristan De Martel protecting her. However, Hope forgot to mention ever spotting another baby with her because she didn't remember.

Hope had approached the vehicle sitting in the front seat beside Jackson wondering what was happening this very day. Hope snapped out her thoughts as she heard Jackson speaking.

"I'm almost out the bayou, and you brought the car seat for him." Jackson said as he hung up.

Hope had wondered who was he talking about, and what where they saying. The thoughts kept running through her mind as she felt the car stop moving, and another car approaching. She watched as the person stepped out the vehicle revealing a woman, and not just a anyone. Thena Salvatore.

Hope gasped watching the situation.

"Missed me wolfie!" Thena said approaching the vehicle as Jackson stepped out.

"Nah not really." Jackson said making Thena gasp.

"Rude" Thena said shoving Jackson away as he laughed, "Who are these cuties?" Thena said as she smiled at a giggling Hope, and a sleeping Alec.

"Thena meet Alec Kenner–" Jackson said smiling.

Hope was left speechless at what she was just witnessing, "Holy Shit" Hope whispered.

"And here is Hope" Jackson said calmly.

"Well aren't they cuties, and about time I got introduced to Alec" Thena chirped before glancing at Jackson wondering what was so important he called her.

"Anyways what was so important you had to drag me out my own home. I was about to resurrect Kol and Finn Mikaelson" Thena said as Jackson looked surprised.

"You found the spell after six months." Jackson said shocked, "Well Elijah helped too, and he snuck his mothers grimoires to me." Thena said smiling smugly.

"I'm not even going to ask– anyways I need you to take care of Alec for me. The Mikaelsons had made a couple enemies recently, and if they all find out I'm hiding my baby who knows what could happen if they find him. He isn't safe here anymore." Jackson sighed looking at Alec.

"But why me?" Thena said softly, "I know how much you love babies, and after many years I trust you to protect Alec, and love him as your own." Jackson said softly making Thena look confuse.

"You make it sound like you're going to die. Don't say that. I can't lose you Jackson you're the closest person who I consider as a best friend!" Thena said as tears ran down her eyes making Jackson sighed with tears coming down his eyes.

"Well if I die. I died protecting my child, and no matter what Thena dead or alive you'll always be my Bestfriend." Jackson said pulling Thena in a hug one last time.

Hope was shedding tears watching this memory, and didn't even know who allowed her to see this or make her remember this day, but she did, and it made her cry.

"I'll see you soon little witch!" Jackson said after adjusting Alec's car seat.

"See you soon wolfie!" Thena said one last time.

The two parted ways not knowing this would be the last day they'd ever see each other, again.

Jackson Kenner died, and was never going to see his son, again. He would never see Thena, and hear her snarky comments that would make him laugh.

Hope awoke from that dream that felt like a nightmare, and shocked at the same time. She knows who's Alec's dad, but she'll never tell her parents because this isn't their problem, and shouldn't be involved. She was finally able to drift off to sleep, and hoping this time she has at least one good dream.
