(Eric's POV)
I am currently at our house. By that I mean the house in San Francisco. We had to drive 6 hours back to San Francisco from UCLA. So yes a very long drive.
There are only 3 people who know about me starting to walk slowly. Day by day. And those 3 people are Arthur, Ellie and Carley. Everyone else is going to be very surprised by me walking again. I mean my mom is the one who paid for the surgery. So she knew that there was a possibility that I could walk again. But they never saw me walk before. Like I said the only people who do know I can walk somewhat again are Ellie,Arthur and Carley.
I knock on the front door waiting for someone to answer the door. Once someone opens the door, I saw it was my brother James. He looks shocked but has a small smile seeing me.
"Hello James" I said with a smile
"Hey Eric" He said smiling then hugged me. "I can't believe you're walking again" He said after letting the hug go
"Yeah I know. The surgery mom paid for helped a lot" I said. "But so did the physical therapy" I said
"Thats good. Well come on in. I know a few people who are going to be happy to see you" He said opening the door for me
We both walked in. Then he closed the front door.
"Eric!" I heard Mikey said running down
"Mikey!" I yelled lifting him up. "God I missed you little guy. How old are you now?" I asked tickling him
He laughs. "8!" He said
"Wow almost a tween" I said putting him down
"Hi Eric!" Tessa said coming to hug me
"Hi Tessa. I missed you" I said lifting her up
"Since when could you walk Eric?" Mikey asked
"I'm walking a little by a little everyday Mikey" I said to him and messed his hair up. Tessa was still in my arms so I was careful not to drop her.
"Lets go to mommy" Tessa said after being put down by me. We walked to the kitchen
"Mommy look who's here" Mikey said
"Hi mom" I said with a smile
"Oh Eric! I can't believe you're walking!" She said as her tears started.
"Mom you knew that there was going to be a possibility I could walk again. Please don't cry" I said
"I heard one of my nephews!" I heard Aunt Evie come down.
"Hi Aunt Evie" I said smiling at her
"And he's standing!" She said started to cry
"Oh no not you too" I said sighing
"Oh Eric we are just happy the surgery actually worked!" My mom said
"I get it but at the same time you guys knew maybe I could walk again. Luckily I am." I said
I heard the door open. And Arthur yelled. But I saw Alex
"Alex" I said with a smile
"Eric.....coz you're walking!" He said shocked
"Yeah I am" I said nodding
"That's crazy!" He said giving me a hug
"Good, crazy?" I asked with a chuckle
"Yeah" He said patting my back after the hug
"Well, well, well if it isn't my two college seniors, sons" Uncle Matt said coming to the kitchen
