EJ's First Day of Kindergarten (Edited)

(Eric's POV)

So today i woke up early before my work time because today is EJ's first day of school. Well of kindergarten. He did go to preschool but this is real school now. My little boy is growing up. Honestly it makes me a little sad but he has to grow up at some point. So I got up early today because I wanted to wish EJ a good luck. I am also driving him in because Carley is on maternity leave. From having Noah but now also from the new twins we are about to have.

Yes we have learned we are having twins again. So six kids will be around. I don't know how Carley and I will last. God, please help us when they come.

Anyways I go into EJ's room and knock on the door. He yelled come in. I walked in and saw him

"Hey buddy. Are you ready for your first day of school?" I asked him

"Yeah daddy!" he said with a smile

I go over and go on my knees. "Listen EJ. Some kids might make fun of your name" I said

"Why?" He asked me with a sad face

"Kids can be cruel. But listen just remember why we named you EJ. And be proud of your name. Ok?" i asked fixing his shirt

"I know daddy. I will be fine" He said with a smile

"Alright. Well what do you say we get some hot chocolate in you?" I asked with a smile

"Yay!" He said with a smile

"Just don't tell your mommy alright?" I asked him

He zipped up his lips. And threw the key away. I smile and rub his hair.

"Let's go then" I said and we walked downstairs to the shoes area.

We both put our shoes on then headed to the front door. We were about to head out but then I saw his school bag near the couch. So I got it for him. "Wait buddy here is your backpack" I said giving him his school bag.

"Thanks daddy" He said putting the school bag on

Then we headed out to the car. I drove the little car today because it was just EJ and I. So we didn't need the mini van this time

Now luckily the school is only a block away. So when he gets older maybe he could walk to school. The elementary school but I doubt it.

After stopping at Dunkin we headed to the school. It was 8:00. But school didn't start until 9. So EJ and I just stayed in the car. We ate our food and drank our coffee/hot chocolate. Once it was time for the elementary school to start to let the people in for school. I parked my car and brought EJ into the building.

I sigh as I walked into the elementary school. I held EJ's hand so he is safe with me. Once we got to the front of the classroom he needs to go to. I could tell he was nervous. I turn to him

"You ok buddy?" I asked my son

"I'm nervous daddy" He said scared

I lean down and look at him. "Just be you EJ. Alright. Everyone will love you" I said to my son. I looked at my phone and saw Seth calling. I sigh and hit decline for right now. EJ needs me at this moment. "EJ, if you need me. Go to the nurses and call me or mommy ok?" i asked him

He nods. And gives me a giant hug. I sigh and give him a gigantic hug as well. My first kid is going into school. It's a big moment!

"So after school, grandma Stephanie is gonna pick you up ok?" I said to him

"Ok daddy. I love you" He said

"I love you too buddy. Have a great day" i said giving him one more hug.
