(Eric's POV)
So it's been a month since I found out Carley's once again pregnant with our 5th and 6th kid. Yes we are having twins. And I can't wait. I really cant wait at all. I'm hoping it's two boys this time. Because even though I love my girls I'm worried about them when they get older. They are more common to get pregnant.
Anyways today is Carley's birthday. She is 2 months pregnant. So she can't drink coffee or alcohol. But she's pretty good without that stuff anyways. I mean yes she drinks a lot of coffee but it's not like she's an addict for alcohol like most people are. No one in my family is an addict to alcohol. But I have some friends who are. I don't see them that much probably because they drink all the time.
I just don't want to be near drinkers all the time. Beers and alcohols are only good for special occasions. Like birthdays and anniversaries. That's when I usually drink at least.
Today is a Sunday. So we don't have work. Now I know we don't really talk about work that much. But we still go, even though we don't talk about it much. Carley has moved up a grade on teaching. She is now teaching 3rd grade English
But like I said today everyone is home. Usually when I go to work my mom or Carley's mom watches the kids while EJ goes to preschool. He is just getting ready for the new school year. Because he will be in kindergarten.
That's crazy to think. My first born will be in kindergarten.
Anyways for Carley's birthday to start out I am making her breakfast. Something nice and simple. So eggs, bacon, and hash browns. I did make a lot because since Skylar and Emma are now 3 years old they can start eating regular stuff. Noah isn't there yet but he will be in a few years.
I go downstairs and make the food. I heard foot steps coming back quick. So I know it's EJ. He runs into the kitchen
"Bud you got to slow down alright" I said stopping him before he fell
"Ok daddy" He said nodding
"Now did you make something special for mommy?" I asked him
"No, why?" He asked confused
"Because it's her birthday today" I said to him
"It's her birthday?" He asked shocked
"Yep. So listen I can help you" I said to him. "But you need to get some crayons and paper" I said to him
"On it daddy!" He yelled and ran to get the supplies
Next round of footsteps were Skylar and Emma. I smile and go over to them. Yes I finished cooking. Everything was off. So no one could get hurt.
"Hi my girls" I said lifting both them up
"Dada" They said both giving me hugs
"Guess what today is?" I asked them. They looked at each other than me. "It's mommy's birthday" I said
"Momma" Skylar and Emma said looking around
"She's still asleep. Why don't we go wake her up?" I asked them
"Yes" They said smiling
"Daddy I got the paper and crayons" he said
"Alright EJ just write happy birthday love EJ ok?" I asked him
"Ok.......how do you spell those words?" He asked me
I smile and sit with him. I wrote down the message.
"Now just write EJ" I said giving him the crayon
He puts his name on it. And smiles
"Alright now let's go wake mommy up" I said
