"You are just a kid."

That's what Harwin Strong used to say to her as he taught her how to fight, gripping her sword like a true warrior and standing, like the last man in the world. To that she only smiled, simple and stiffly.

Aelina Targaryen was a kid in the eyes of the world, but never the one in the walls of her own house.

She and her twin brother, Aemond, have never really known how it is - to be immature. Having an elder brother, Aegon, hardly helped. From all family members, somehow, both of them were the responsible one. And somehow, if not Aelina and Aemond, their unstable house would collapse, burn to the ground and vanish as if it never existed.

'Good morning, aunt Aelina,' Jacaerys, followed by his little brother, Lucerys, greeted her; eyes darting to the side of the empty training field.

Aelina and Harwin had their lessons here, usually. Now, with him not around, and, probably, never to return, they all mourned. And even though the relationship between Rhaenyra's kids and Alicent's were rocky - and even though Aelina shouldn't have contacts with the boy's father, he was still surprisingly nice with her - the three of them shared the sentiments.

'Jacaerys, Lucerys, shall this day be lucky,' she mused, putting her sword aside.

Despite her being not much older than Rhaenyra's firstborn, he still called her aunt. Which was quite flattering and ridiculously fun.

'Have you seen my brothers already?' Aelina asked, hands locked behind her back, hiding reddish, calloused from the training palms.

By brothers, she meant Aemond, mostly. The relationship with Aegon was hard. Well, for everyone, not just her. But Lucerys found his company amusing. Or so she thought.

'I am afraid we have not. But, oh, Helaena seemed a little bit confused at breakfast. She is somewhere around, probably...'

'She said that saw something terrifying,' Lucerys warned, slightly narrowing his eyes.

Aelina paled.

Their sweet little sister, Helaena... Oh, she had a quite scary ability to see the future. And while mother and Aegon thought that she was simply out of her mind, Aelina trusted her without a single thought. Hearing about her having a new vision made her shiver.

'Thank you, sweet boy,' she muttered instinctively, not really thinking about it, but Lucerys's face reddened anyway.

Helaena was in her room, playing with a spider that, as she said, was saved from Aegon this morning.

(Knowing their brother, he probably let out an awful girlish scream, asking to kill the bug.)

Her fingers were trembling, eyes a little bit puffy, and Aelina knew immediately - she talked about her prophecy earlier with someone. Someone, who wasn't her. Or Aemond. Someone who made her scared again.

'Lucerys said you saw something?'

'It's nothing. Really.'

Aelina sighed. Such hard work it was, always maintaining relationships with others, trying to take care of everyone.

She smiled sweetly, the way Helfena always found comforting, and hugged her tightly, tugging under her chin.

'Don't believe them. What they say, I mean,' Aelina planted a short kiss on the crown of her hair. 'Whatever you see... Me and Aemond, we believe you.'

With that, the girl in her arms sobbed.

'I... Something terrible, sister. The green will lose the sapphire. And... green converting black... As. As...'
