A/N: I have never talked about their ages, right? So, I think we need to clear it up. In the books, Aemond was nineteen or twenty, when he killed Lucerys. It stayed the same in tv series, I think, but have you noticed that they made Jacaerys slightly elder than in the book? He was sixteen in the books, while Lucerys was fifteen. In tv series Lucerys is still fifteen, but Jacaerys def is not sixteen. So, I am going adapt it a little bit. Aemond and Aelina are twenty now, Jacaerys eighteen and Lucerys is still fifteen.

The morning before coronation Aemond and Aelina left such a terrifying funny expression on the court and Alicent - with those marks and scratches all over their faces as if they fought with stray cats! - that they couldn't help but burst out laughing as soon as mother left the room, angry and devastated.

The morning before coronation, the one that they should spend on fussing around the castle as everyone else did, Aelina and Aemond decided to sit in their little nephews company. Listening to their little talks that didn't make so much sense were better than conversations about the upcoming procession.

The morning before coronation, Aelina and Aemond warned Rhayenys about the secret ways to leave the castle, hinting that they could help, feeling too pleased by the look of surprise on her face.

The morning before coronation, Alicent ordered her to be the one to talk with Aegon.

It was awkward, really. Restricted from drinking even the smallest sip of wine, ever nervous, Aegon was doomed on roaming around, trying to hear some assurance in his actions. Aelina was sitting by his side, more controlling guard than a sister. They were silent at first. Then, Aegon started to talk; to himself, mostly. And when Aelina almost stopped listening to him, he asked her something indeed funny.

'Sister, do you love me?'

In that moment he reminded her of a boy who spent the whole night by sitting in front of her bed, waiting when she woke up, to apologise for a lost eye. But there was a flash of memories as Aelina felt nothing but desire to flay her own skin mercilessly. So, she kept her silence. There was no love for Aegon. Not anymore.

This gesture of hers, made Aegon storm out from the room, and she didn't see him until the minute when the ceremony started and he walked through crowds full of cheering people. Lost, face gaining some understanding only when people screamed for him. Green was the colour of greed, after all. And so their brother basked in unexpected recognition from the people who knew nothing about him.

The moments after usurpation were chaotic, full of screams and panic. Aelina used this time wisely, to clutch Helaena's hand in hers as a farewell.

Rhaenys left. And mingling with the crowd, using the opportunity, Aemond and Aelina left too. It was suspiciously easy. But she knew that her mother saw the two biggest and strongest dragons, Vhagar and Maevrina, fly far from the castle swiftly. Perhaps, she thought that they went after their hostage. Or maybe, she knew right away.

The point stayed the same. Aelina and Aemond Targaryen left their house without intention to return.

Despite being silent, their road was safe. They moved as usual; taking each other's blind sides, watching at any possible changes in the air. Little Lucerys was right - being half blind was a challenge for a dragonrider. It never was easy and even their command work, it hardly helped.

Yet, this time they moved even more gracefully than before, even though their hearts were racing faster than dragons.

Oh, the sweet doubts. The anguish desire to return back, even if it will hurt. Because, it will hurt, even.
