A/N: Omg, is that... Flashbacks mixed with main timeline??? With bunch of parallels?? Damn. Possible content warning - mentions of drunk people, Aegon, most of the time.

"Arbor Gold is quite overrated," Aegon explained, holding out two bottles of rich wine, examining it carefully. "I prefer Dornish reds most of the time, they are tastier."

Aelina hummed disinterested, nevertheless her eyes never left her brother's face as he chose the wine to drink.

"Remember that, little one. There are a lot of wines in Westeros and beyond, but if you want advice in choosing one - your big brother will help," he winked at her mischievously, finally deciding to choose dornish wine, humming some tune under his nose.

Aelina scrunched her nose.

She didn't like alcohol much. But she especially hated it because Aegon drank it all the time, something she couldn't understand how he liked it, or even why.

"Aegon," she caught the sleeve of his shirt unsurely, pursing her lips. "Maybe you shouldn't drink today?"

He turned his attention to her.

"I drink every day, little one."

"Exactly?" She retorted, slightly annoyed by the calmness of his voice. "It is scary how much you drink. And it is unhealthy."

His face lit up with amusement as he patted her hair, making so carefully braided in ponytail hair go in disarray.

"Aw-w, is someone worried for me?"

Her brows furrowed.

"I am," Aelina answered with all honesty. When Aegon's eyes widened in surprise as if the understatement of his sister's love reached him for the first time for a while, she added: "Please?"

It might be just imagination, but Aelina thought her brother's fingers started to tremble a little bit. She watched as he carefully turned with his back to her, sounds of clicking bottles being the only thing for a while. When he faced her again, he was smiling, arms empty, eyes seeming a little bit watery.

"Okay. As my little one wishes. No wine today."

Aelina grinned, satisfied.

(The little oath was broken. When they got back and mother caught them they instantly received punishment. When mother stopped screaming, Aegon closed himself in chambers, and got drunk. Aelina tried not to be disappointed.)

'It looks rich,' Flavius muttered, fingers digging in the fabric of Aelina's clothes as he tried not to lose her in the crowd of people.

Aelina paused a little bit, taking a look at what caught the attention of her little disciple.

It had been a while - five months, exactly - after she took him under her guidance that night, firstly clothing him properly, and then feeding, taking care of his state, before starting lessons.

Admittedly, Aelina was rather quick to grow fond of little Flavius by her side, and by the way Aemond started to teach him how to read and write, she knew she wasn't the only one who liked this boy. Or, perhaps, they were missing being an aunt and uncle for little kids as twins once were. But no matter the reason, Flavius became a wanted guest around her family - well, excluding Daemon, who couldn't stand watching in his face.

Jacaerys took great care of the boy as well, surprisingly. He wasn't teaching him any arts, instead, more being focused on helping him to get used to the new world he got into, the less cruel one than the streets, where he was born. And Flavius? Oh, he liked Jacaerys! Well... Who not, after all?
