- CHAPTER ONE-HUNDRED-SEVEN -
🏹 A Surprise Enemy 🏹

Wren, Lydia and Jackson walked through the hallway of the lacrosse stadium before Lydia crouched down next to a line of mountain ash. "It's happening now." Lydia said and Wren glanced around slightly, "The mountain ash is more than a barrier. It's a gateway between his world and ours." She said.

"Oh, I really hate when you say shit like that. Isn't it just ash?" Jackson said before kicking part of the line of ash but it immediately reformed. "Parrish has to break the barrier. He's the only one that can do it." Lydia said before they heard footsteps, making them look up to see a hooded figure turning the corner.

"Guys." Lydia said before the person turned to them, taking off their hood to reveal Adrian Harris, a huge scar around his neck. "Holy shit. It's actually him." Wren mumbled, "It's him who?" Jackson asked as Harris started walking towards them, gun in hand. "Adrian Harris." Lydia said and Jackson tilted his head slightly, "He kind of looks like our chemistry teacher." He said.

"I was your chemistry teacher, Jackson, you fucking imbecile." He said before shooting Jackson, making him fall to the ground while Lydia quickly raised her hands up as if she was after to scream but didn't as Harris pointed the gun at her. "Do it. Scream, Lydia. Scream like a Banshee." Harris said and Lydia slowly lowered her hands, "Oh. Oh, that's right. You haven't screamed in years, have you?" He asked.

Wren grabbed her sister's arm, pulling her back slightly. "What do you want from us?" Wren asked, "Well, I don't want an apology, seeing as how you ruined my life, and you served me up as a human sacrifice to some demented druid." He said. "I was in London for all of that." Jackson said and Harris shot him again, making him groan and fall back against a pillar.

"Come take a look, Wren, Lydia." He said before pulling the girls over to look at the field, "This was no small accomplishment. This illusion has several layers. Here, girls, let me show you one." He said. "You want us to watch a lacrosse game?" Lydia asked and he shook his head, "No, no. I want you to watch your friends die. Come on. Take a look through the microscope." He said.

A second later, instead of seeing the Lacrosse game, they saw the Nogitsune's world where Derek, Stilinski, Deaton, Liam, Mason and Hikari were tied up. Harris let the girls go before pointing the gun at them again

"I knew the Nogitsune was too chaotic to play this game on his own. He needed me to help him win. All I had to do was give him my pain. Thanks to you and Scott McCall, I have plenty." Harris said and Jackson groaned slightly, "We all have pain." He said.

"But Wren's pain is particularly appealing to a thousand-year-old demon." Harris said and Wren shook her head slightly, "My pain isn't anything to him." She said. "On the contrary, heartbreak is a veritable delicacy to the Nogitsune. So give him a taste, Wren. Tell us what you found out." Harris said, making Wren suck in a shaky breath, her eyes getting a glossy sheen over them.

"Give us your pain, or the next time I shoot your sister in the head." Harris said, pulling Wren away from Lydia before pointing the gun at Lydia's head. "Wren, don't do it." Lydia said and Wren took a deep breath. "I had a dream." Wren said, making Harris look at her, "What happened in the dream?" He asked.

"I saw myself in the hospital, nine months pregnant... Doctors and nurses were rushing around while another nurse was holding Stiles back..." Wren said and Lydia looked at her shocked, never hearing of this information yet.

"Wren..." She said in a slight whisper and Wren shook her head slightly, "I haven't had to write any dreams in my journal in over a year so it wasn't next to my bed. It took me a second to find it so when I started writing what I saw... I had forgotten how my dream ended." Wren said. "So you don't know what happens." Harris said, making Wren look at him.

"I don't know if I will die like my mother did when she had me or if we will lose the baby." Wren said and shrugged slightly, "Like my birth mother wrote in her memoirs... Seeing the future is cool until you see your own." Wren said before sucking in a deep breath, quickly wiping a tear away, ignoring Lydia and Jackson's pitiful looks.

"Was that good enough for you?" Wren asked and Harris grabbed Lydia's arm before grabbing Wren's and making them look back into the Nogitsune's world. "The real tournament begins." Harris said.

Near the Nemeton in the Nogitsune's world, Scott and Allison suddenly appeared and glanced around. "Where are we?" Allison asked, no longer trying to kill everyone, "We're in his world." Scott said before Eli ran up to them. "This is it. They're here. They're all trapped here." He said and Scott stepped forward slightly.

"So are we." He said as they glanced around before the Oni suddenly appeared in front of them. "I've killed Oni before." Allison said and Scott nodded, "Then let's kill a few more." He said before they ran forward, fighting and blocking the Oni's attacks.
