Chapter 18 - a reason to live

"I'm floating" Ino thought as she felt her body go limb.
"Where am I?" She asked, "hello my child" a woman with black hair greeted lovingly wrapping her hand around her
"mother? What are you doing here? I thought you were dead" Ino asked as tears began to form in her eyes
"well yes but I'm very much alive in your subconscious" the woman smiled "my subconscious? Ino repeated
"yes subconscious your stuck in your own head" the woman explained
"thren how do I get out?" Ino questioned
"what get put? Why would you want to go anywhere? After all you have no reason to go out no one or where to go to, why not just join me" the woman suggested in a sickingly sweet voice
"you mean die?" Ino asked
"why yes after all you are the reason I'm dead is that not so? You've considered right my child?" The woman said dangerously tightening her grip
"but I don't want to die" Ino cried "of course you do, why do you think you're still unconscious? It's because you don't have the will to wake up simply because you have no reason so just stay here" the woman said as she began to drag Ino down into a dark hole "no let me go!" Ino screamed as she began to feel the darkness consume her.

"Doctor, what's going on?" Kakucho asked as soon as the door of the intensive care unit swung open, "she suffered a very serious concussion, we've stabilized her for now but she's still unconscious" the doctor explained, "so when will she wake up?" Ran inquired, "I'm sorry Mr Haitani but I do not know, that is left to her, she's malnourished and dehydrated it's a miracle how her body is still working, but she seems strong just give it time" the doctor expansiated, "can we see her?" Rindou asked, "yes of course, but only for a limited time of course, now if you would excuse me" the doctor said before walking away.

They all walked into Ino's room, the room was clean and neat, Ino was strapped and attached to multiple devices which monitored her bodily functions, each beeping and blinking at a steady pace, "fuck how could we let this happen" Sanzu cursed under his breath, Mikey on the other hand had taken the seat next to the bed, he carefully took Ino's hand in his as the others watched, carefully so he wouldn't move the drip attached to it he placed it on his face, he needed to feel her warmth to remind him that she was still alive.

"Wake up Ino" Mikey said softly as he watched her, "she'll wake up she's just asleep" Kakucho said trying to convince himself more than anyone, "yeah she's a strong girl" Rindou said with a dry chuckle, "and after this I'll take her out shopping as a reward for her bravery" Kokonoi sadly smiled.

"This place is so cold, hello is anyone there?" Ino called out to her as she sat down on the floor
"hi there" a small child greeted Ino
"who are you?" Ino asked
"I'm you of course" the child answered
"then why are you here?" Ino questioned
"isn't it obvious? it's because no one loves me, no one loves us and no one ever will we're alone, we'll always be alone" the child cried, Ino too started to feel tears fall from her eyes as the child cried she could feel her pain
"it's because we killed mother, isn't it? We should have died at birth" the child continued to cry.

"That's bullshit, and you know it wasn't our fault people are just cruel I hate them they should all just die!" a teenager that looked like the older version of the child yelled in anger and Ino could feel the rage emitted by the girl as she began clenched her fist
"they always lie to us, mom, uncle, aunty, Mikey, Ran, Rindou, Kakucho, Sanzu, Takeomi, Mochi, Kokonoi all of them!" The teenage girl spat
"I'm scared what if they hit us like the others, like uncle?" The child said in-between sobs
"So what I don't care! I just want to die! I never did anything the world just hates me for no reason I just want to be happy is that wrong" the teenage girl spat as tears of fury ran down her cheeks.

Ino cried in confusion she was feeling anger, hatred, betrayal, sorrow, desperation, anxiety, and so much more, it hurt, it stung she didn't like it, she needed to get away, so she stood up and took to her heels, she looked round and round she needed an exit.
