Chapter Eight: Caught In The Act.

As they arrived at the outskirts of Dharavi, Vaidehi surveyed the area with a critical eye, noting the crowded streets and bustling activity.

"This is a slum area, guys. Even if we say we're staying in remote areas, there will still be crowds, so be cautious," she advised, her tone serious and alert.

She turned to the team, ensuring they were adequately prepared. "Did everyone bring their essentials? Extra clothes bundles with weapons hidden?" she asked, receiving nods of affirmation from the group.

"Nihar will be joining us soon; he's made arrangements for our accommodations," she informed them, her voice projecting confidence and assurance amidst the uncertainty of their mission.

As they waited for Nihar, the team members exchanged nervous glances, adjusting their disguises and ensuring their weapons were securely hidden.

Shubman, ever the optimist, tried to lighten the mood. "Well, this is quite the adventure, isn't it? Who would've thought we'd be playing roles in a slum area?" he remarked with a grin.

Vaidehi, however, remained focused on the task at hand. "Remember, our priority is to find Abhinav and gather any information we can. Stay alert and keep your cover at all times," she reminded them, her voice firm and commanding.

Just then, Nihar arrived, Vaidehi's trustable confidant, who had agreed to assist them in navigating the area and securing accommodations.

"Welcome to Dharavi, everyone. Follow me, and I'll take you to your temporary homes," he said, leading the group through the narrow alleyways and bustling streets of the slum.

As they walked, the team members couldn't help but feel a sense of apprehension mingled with excitement.

They were stepping into unfamiliar territory, fully aware of the risks involved, but determined to carry out their mission successfully.

"Why are these people with you Agent Sharma?" Nihar whispered.

"Nihar, they're here to help with a personal matter," Vaidehi replied in a hushed tone, careful not to arouse suspicion.

"They're not aware of my profession as an agent, and it's imperative that they remain unaware."

Nihar nodded understandingly, though a hint of curiosity flickered in his eyes. "Understood, Agent Sharma. I won't pry any further," he assured her, leading the group towards their accommodations.

As they arrived at their designated homes within the slum, Nihar briefed them on the local customs and advised them to blend in seamlessly with the community.

"Remember, act natural and avoid drawing attention to yourselves. The less you stand out, the better," he advised, before bidding them farewell and melting back into the bustling streets of Dharavi.
