Chapter Ten: I Missed You!

As the sun began its descent, casting long shadows across the narrow alleys of Dharavi, Vaidehi and Shubman set out on their mission to uncover clues about Abhinav.

With makeshift disguises and determination in their hearts, they navigated the bustling streets, their senses alert for any sign of suspicious activity.

"So, where do we start?" Shubman asked, his eyes scanning the crowded market square.

Vaidehi glanced at him, a hint of amusement in her eyes. "We start by keeping our eyes open and our mouths shut," she replied, her tone matter-of-fact.

Shubman nodded eagerly, his enthusiasm undeterred. "Got it, partner," he said, flashing her a grin.

As they wandered through the labyrinthine streets of Dharavi, Shubman couldn't help but marvel at Vaidehi's cool composure.

Despite the chaos around them, she remained focused and determined, her every movement calculated and precise.

"So, any ideas on where to look?" Shubman ventured, trying to break the silence that hung between them.

Vaidehi shot him a sidelong glance, her lips quirking into a sardonic smile.

"Oh, I don't know, Shubhankar," she replied, her tone dripping with sarcasm. "Maybe we should try looking in the places where people actually hide things."

Shubman chuckled, undeterred by her sharp wit. "Sounds like a plan," he said, falling into step beside her.

As they continued their search, Shubman couldn't shake the feeling of being watched. He cast a wary glance over his shoulder, but saw nothing out of the ordinary.

"Everything okay, Shubhankar?" Vaidehi asked, her voice laced with amusement.

Shubman nodded, trying to shake off his unease. "Yeah, just thought I saw something," he muttered, his cheeks flushing with embarrassment.

Vaidehi rolled her eyes, her lips quirking into a smirk. "Relax, Shubhankar," she said, her tone teasing. "It's just Dharavi, not a den of spies."

But as they delved deeper into the heart of the slum, Shubman couldn't shake the feeling that they were on the brink of something big.

And with Vaidehi by his side, he knew that no matter what challenges they faced, they would face them together.

As they rounded a corner, Vaidehi paused, her eyes narrowing as she spotted something out of place.

"Shubhankar, look," she said, gesturing to a crumpled piece of paper lying on the ground.

Shubman leaned in closer, his curiosity piqued. "What is it?" he asked, his breath catching in his throat.
