Murder Drones Oneshots (mostly Nuzi)

MD Vampire AU Part 22

She wants a baby. She wants a baby. She wants a baby. She wants a baby. She wants a baby.

She wants my baby.

The words kept replaying as N sat beside Uzi, who was awkwardly shuffling beside him, the air had shifted from horny- to tense. Very tense.

"N...I know how it sounds, but I can't get this idea out of my mind, you'd make such a great father as well" Uzi eventually said, grabbing N's hand tightly. N smiled softly, but he was clearly very anxious, he couldn't quite meet Uzi's eyes. "I...I just don't know what would happen- if we vampires even can- what would the baby be?" N asked, talking to the space in front of him rather than his girlfriend.

Uzi nuzzled into N's side, attempting to gain his attention again, but he seemed genuinely disturbed by her request. "Forget it- it was a random idea and if you don't want it then I don't want it" Uzi sped, trying (and failing) to hide her disappointment.

N sighed and wrapped his arm around Uzi, pulling her into a tight embrace, his free hand grabbed hers and rested on her leg. "It's not that I don't want to Uzi, honestly I like kids & would love to have one, I just don't want this getting in the way of your future or anything" N explained, honestly expressing his concerns.

If Uzi was done with school, and maybe if they lived together full time, N would have said yes keenly. In fact he was hoping that one day he could be a parent, he just wanted things to be a little more secure.

"Is it normal to want a baby so bad? It's almost as strong as the soulmate attraction" Uzi claimed, glad N seemed to have taken her news well. N snickered but genuinely was curious if this could relate to their soulmate bond.

Well, I've got to ask J stuff anyway.

Sighing, N replied "Let's ask J later, can we watch a movie now?"

Uzi grinned and kissed N's cheek before reaching for the remote.

Meanwhile, V was still listening to her soulmates voice, she couldn't tell what their gender was or how old they were. All V could get was they were normally around other people- typically in what seemed to be large groups. Sometimes the group seemed young, maybe they had siblings?

"V"

The vampire was snapped out of her thoughts by her name being said so firmly, she turned and saw J in the entrance of the cave, looking alarmingly injured. "Where is N?"  She snapped, glaring V down.

V spent another second taking in J's appearance, she seemed rugged and dirty, like she'd been through something horrible. "What happened?!" V eventually claimed, standing up to help J, who was wobbling where she stood.

Of course J shoved her away, but her legs gave way as she did, leaving her to essentially fall into V's arms. "That- that blue haired human decided to try and eat me- I got away but she's getting stronger" J was struggling with her words.

"Rest, we'll go find her once N & Uzi are back, then we'll all enjoy some delicious Russian Cuisine" V promised, laying J back against the cave before attempting to tend to her injuries.

Doll seemed to have chucked a lot of stuff at J, a decent portion of it had landed in her ribs and waist, but it was all metal so-

Wait-

In J's chest, just above her heart, was a wooden stake.

NO NO NO.

V looked J up and down again, trying to see if she was in critical condition, J groaned on cue- making V's panic increase. "J, how do I fix this?!?" V pleaded, contemplating whether or not to simply yank the stake out.
