CHAPTER SEVEN::

"Caitlyn! Get over here!" I shout. I was making breakfast today, as Devon had gone to a class, with some other guys whose wives/girl friends are pregnant. . He was acting really worried and then he needed some guy time, with some guys in the same situation as he was.

It's been almost a week since Devon's proposal. And, there's been a lot going on. First, telling our parents, who were kind of okay with it. Considering their normal attitude, they seemed pretty happy. Daddy started crying. His first baby was getting married. And, she's pregnant.

Apparently, caught up in all this moving business, we forgot to tell them she was pregnant and was due anytime now.

It sounded like mum was happy, so that she could have her first grandchild. But, I really feel bad for the kid. It's going to be stuck with a witch for a grandma and an angel for a grandpa. And, then his fathers in jail.

But, hopefully he'll never learn those details, as he'll probably be super mad, and wonder why he didn't grow up with his dad.

Nonetheless, I was kind of glad that mum was happy-ish.

"I'm coming, calm down missy." Caitlyn shouts. She was in her room, probably finishing getting ready.

"I still can't believe that Dev wanted to marry that wreck," I mumbled to myself.

"Excuse me?" I guess my mumbling needs a little bit of work.

"Well, I mean, you're pregnant and could be due anytime soon. And, well, you just have really bad luck. No offense." I said quickly.

"Dude. You do know that saying 'no offense' makes it seem way more offensive?" She asks in an annoyed tone. I mentally laughed.

Man this can get really nerved. Caitlyn has been pretty b*tchy lately. And I know it's just her hormones but I am on the edge at the moment.

"Yeah, whatever. Well, chow down girlfriend." I utter.

This is one of the few times that Kate and I have actually gotten some alone time as our boys have always been there with us. (Not that I mind that Alec seems to always be there.)

I eat in awkward silence. This isn't how I pictured my life a couple of days ago. I was hoping that I would have moved out, but I most likely would have a full job, and I'd definetely be single. I maybe would have been in college but I really don't think that's an option with the situation that I am in right now.

I finish my last piece of toast and begin to pick up. Though, Caitlyn was still eating. Oh well, she needed it. She's pregnant and I read online that when she's that far into her pregnancy, she is always hungry and becomes very crabby. And, once she begins to be feeling sick, that may be the beginning of her going into labor.

Luckily, I've been checking on Caitlyn, and she has been feeling fine and dandy. I want to hold of the birth date as long as we can, as we haven't decided how we're going to make room in our apartment for the baby.

Everyone knows when you live in NYC, you never could even dream of living in an actual house, unless you're a millionare.

And, we have only three bedrooms.

And, I'm guessing that the idea is that Alec should move into my room with me, and we can turn his room into a nursery. Mostly because my room is bigger and better than his, and his is closer to Caitlyn, and mine is off on it's own side so at night we can't hear the baby.
