                                                                        PHOEBE

After we finished eating dinner, mummy, daddy, and I walked back to the subway. Tomorrow, I will have about three jobs with cute children from this building. I decided to leave with daddy when he goes to work to apply at the diner down the road.

We got back to our small apartment and I went into my room, and started a diary. I knew it was a great time, and now is an important time in my life. I took out my art supplies and drawings and stuck them on my desk before taking a glance at my red clock.

It was 7:56. I went to the bathroom, and took a shower. I always let my hair air dry after taking a shower because when you blow dry your hair, it doesn't help it. It only makes it crunchy. After I put on my pajamas and layed in bed, I grabbed my diary and wrote down a short story.

The story was about a girl, who is my age, who gets in trouble with her parents. She runs a way from home, and has the best life she could ever imagine. I wrote a lot. On her surprises, her ups and downs and the whole adventure she has.

Then, I wonder is Caitlyn's adventure is anything like her's. Boy, if I did run a way, I would be in trouble because I have no money and not many belongings. It would be like starting over completely.

When I put down my diary, I ly awake, thinking about Caitlyn. I want to see her so much. I miss her. She could be living with us, and get the freedom I am getting right now.

I finally fell asleep thinking about what I get to do tomorrow.

***********

When I woke up, daddy still wasn't up, so I took the opprotunity to take another shower, and blow-dry my hair. I curled my long brown hair, and pulled it into a tight pony tail. I walked to my closet and picked out a neon pink shirt and a pair of blue jeans.

When I went out into the living room, and saw daddy, he was already in his suit, drinking coffee. He was watching the 6am news.

"Hey sweetie. Ready to go?" Daddy asked me.

"Sure!!!"

We walked out the door and daddy and I had to split because he had to go to the subway and I had to go to the diner down the road. I left my bike at home because I wanted to walk there. The diner was one of my favorite places to eat.

When I entered the diner, it smelled like coffee and donuts. One of the many reasons why I love this place. I walked up to the counter and saw a young lady with short black hair with a blue highlight on the right side.

"Hello, I am Phoebe and was wondering if I could speak with the manager. I am hoping to get a job here."

"Sure, follow me. He's in the kitchen helping Mark fix the grill, he should be done any minute now. He's been in there for over an hour."

Just when she lead me over to the kitchen, a large man, who must have been the manager walked out. The girl with short black hair told him why I am here, and she told me to follow him into the back, he has an application.

The manager lead me to a back table, and we both sat down.

"What would you like to eat? Breakfast's on the house." He told me. "By the way, my name is John, and I am the manager here."

I ordered one small pancake and a serving of strawberries. John had a huge plate full of breakfast, and probably ate everything on the menu. I ate in selence. I made sure to use all of the manners that mummy and daddy taught me. No elbows on the table, napkin on your lap, and right leg over your left.

When we both finished, he had another waitress take our meals away. That's when we started to talk about me getting a job.

"So, Phoebe, you seem like, perfect for the job. All that I need is your name and signature here, and you have got yourself a job." He handed me a clip board. I put my name, and signed. When I finished the paperwork, He gave a uniform, showed me around, gave me a pen, and I began to work. I grabbed an order notebook and my first customers was a couple.

They looked familiar. I took another look, and they were the couple I saw walking outside while it was raining. I got their drinks and placed their orders, then went to another table and did the same. When the first couple finally finished they left a $3 tip. Wow!! That is a lot!!!!!

Each time, people kept leaving $3-$5 tips, and I was making a lot of money just with tips. No wonder mummy has enough money to buy me a bike, and special treats everyday.

I did this until closing time, and by the time I was exiting the diner, I had around $200. I could buy my own iPod touch with that kind of money.

When I got home, I took of my uniform and glanced at the clock. It was about five. Which meant I still had an hour before I had to be at the Duncan's house to baby-sit Mary and Joshua. So, I headed over the art store and bought colorful pens for work.

I still had lots of money left over so I got a special box to store my money in. I put the remaining cash in the chest and shoved it under my desk.

I looked at the clock and it was 6:25 so I made my way to the elevator.

                                                                         CAITLYN

The room was a dark black shade, with no windows. There was stacks and stacks of bags of cash. I was scared because these guys were hard-core criminals. I walked back to the couch, and fell asleep.

When I awoke a few hours later, the loud guys came into the apartment and all went into seperate rooms, I decided to see what they were doing. They were all crashed on their own bed. I surveyed their rooms, and each of them was dull. There was just a bed and a closet, with nothing much in them.

My room back at my house was bright pink and had everything that I love and admired. There were pictures, and figures, and scultures. My bed was zebra print, and I had a neon green lamp. All of my clothing was no darker than a neon orange.

I attempted to get out of the duct tape, but I am as weak as a baby squirell and could not get myself out. I tried to get the duct tape off my mouth, but each time I tried, I squeled because I cannot handle that kind of pain.

I ly back down on the couch and snooze out a little while watching Spongebob. I would sleep then watch and episode, sleep then watch an episode. This went on for like forever. Finally Brian and the guys woke up, but on the black masks and outfits they wore on their first robbery and left me alone in a scary apartment...
