Two days ago

~CRISTINA~

I was sitting on the couch of my office in Zurich just relaxing, eating a sandwich and trying to get some rest, while reading a magazine. When I heard my phone ringing

Me: Doctor Cristina Yang speaking

...: Hi Dr. Yang it's Shane Ross

Me: Oh hey Shane

Shane: Um I have something to ask you

Me: What do you want

Shane: Mickey is sick and Eleanor is out of town for the week so I was wondering if I could take my week off

Me: Shane ever since you are a father you take like 20 days off work per month

Shane: Please doctor Yang I'm beging you

Me: OKay last time and from now on you can only take three days off per month

Shane: Omg tha...

I didn't let him finish his sentence because all I wanted to do was eat my sandwich and read my magazine. After only a few minutes I hear a knock on the door

Me: *really annoyed* who's there?

...: It's Nina and Grace, I heard a feminine voice say with a really strong Swedish accent, I knew it was Nina

Me: COME IN!

The door opened and Grace and Nina came in

Grace: Hi mother

Me: Hi daughter

Nina: The teacher gave me some paper to give you

Me: Okay put them on my desk and please go buy some stuff the grocery list is over there

Nina: Ok Doctor

She left the room and Grace came to sit next to me, I gave her a piece of my sandwich

Me: So how was school?

Grace: It was okay we talked about jobs today

Me: Really and what did you say?

Grace: Well we had to talk about our parents's jobs

Me: Cool

Grace: And the teacher gave us a paper and asked us to ask our dad to come talk to the class about his job

Me: Ah..

Grace: And then I said yes but I don't have a dad

Me: Honey...

Grace: *starting to cry a little* and then Roy said '' it's not possible because everybody has a dad" and I said" well me I don't have a dad so shut you mouth" and then the teacher grounded me because I said shut your mouth

Me: It's okay baby come here

I started hugging her, I put her small head on my chest, I could feel her little body shaking. I never thought I could have liked this kid but here I was trying to comfort her when she was asking me questions about her dad. I felt cruel for not telling her the truth, for not telling him the truth, for running away, but I had no choice, I wasn't ready...

~ Meredith~

Me: What the hell

Cristina: Meredith..

Her voice was shaky and she was crying, I ran to the bed and hugged her

Me: Omg Cristina are you okay Oh god I missed you so fricking much!

Cristina: Meredith

She pointed at the back of the room, what I saw was unbelievable, it was like a mini Cristina except with long straight orange/red hair

I looked at Cristina, she was smiling looking at that little girl but when she looked back at me her smile disappeared
