Nurse: Dr. Yang, the lawyers are here

Me: I'm not done with the surgery could they wait?

Nurse: Dr. Pierce is here, she's gonna finish for you

Me: Great

I took off my gloves, my scrub cap and put my hair down, the lawyer was waiting for me outside of the OR

Me: Good morning

Lawyer: Good morning, I'm Mrs. Davis, the lawyer

Me: Is it gonna be long?

Lawyer: It depends

Me: Alright let's go then

We went to the conference room, two men were sitting at the table

Me: Hello, I'm Dr. Cristina Yang

Man 1: Mr. Lowell, lawyer and this is my associate Mr. Patterson

We sat down across from them and he took out some papers

Me: I have a lot of things to do so could we go faster please

Lowell: Of course, let's get to the point, shall we?

Me: Sure

Lowell: This alley should've been cleared

Me: We were in a crisis, there was a bunch of plane crash victims coming I'm gonna tell you the truth I don't think clearing this alley came to any of the doctor's head.

Lowell: This paramedic got really injured

Me: I know I get that but we couldn't do anything

Lowell: I know you haven't been the chief for long Dr. Yang but when you're the chief you need to think about everything every second of the day if you realize something is missing or you forgot to do something you drop what you're doing and find someone else to finish for you and you do it

Me: I understand that but I wasn't chief when this happened and I am not a permanent chief, I'm doing it until Dr. Hunt is ready to go back to work

Lowell: Alright, could we take a moment, let's continue this discussion later in the afternoon

Me: What do we have to talk about?

Lowell: A lot of things

I looked at my lawyer she nodded and we both got up and left

Me: Can he even do that?

Davis: Yes, you need to work on your arguments, do you have anybody who studied the law and who coud help you?

Me: Yes my brother in law

Davis: Do you think he could help you make a good case?

Me: Aren't you here for this?

Davis: No, I'm here to represent the law, in this situation you need to defend yourself

Me: So basically I'm paying you so you just show up and smile

Davis: Yes...

Me: Great

Davis: So can you contact your brother in law?

Me: Yeah he is in the hospital right now

Davis: What a coincidence

Me: Yeah

Davis: Do you think we could go bother him for a little bit of time?
