After Cristina suddenly left I decided to go to bed next to Grace, she was going to wake up and see that her mother wasn't here, I didn't want her to panic. I got into the bed and tried to close my eyes, I took Grace's little hand in mine, I was holding it, tight, close to my chest. When my phone started to ring.

Me: Hello?

...: It's me, Amelia

Me: Oh hey, what's up

Amelia: I'm down stairs come open the door

Me: Oh I'm sorry I can't I have Grace sleeping over

Amelia: What?

Me: Cristina had to go back to Zurich, an emergency, and she asked me to take care of her

Amelia: Well can you just come open the door so we can...I don't know, hang out?

Me: I'm coming

I went to open the door, and hung up

Me: Hey

She gave me a quick kiss, she had red eyes, I could see she cried.

Me: Are you okay?

Amelia: Yeah, I'm fine. So where is the girl?

Me: She is sleeping in my bedroom, but she's probably gonna wake up really soon because of jet lag and stuff

Amelia: Yeah, so we have about an hour, we can hang out and talk about the wedding

Me: Oh yes sure, it's soon

Amelia: It is

Me: So did you get your dress?

Amelia: Yeah it's beautiful, I'm so exited!

Me: Are you happy?

Amelia: Of course I love you

Me: Me too

I heard the door open, I turned around, it was Grace

Grace: Hey

Me: Hey sweetheart, you already up?

Grace: Yeah, I couldn't sleep anymore

Me: It's alright, come sit down. Grace, this is Amelia, my fiancee

Grace: Hi, I already met you, you were mad

Amelia: Yeah I'm sorry I didn't wanna scare you I'm sorry

Grace: Where's my mom?

Me: Oh yeah I forgot to tell you, she had to go back to Zurich for an emergency, she said she'd call you when she gets there

Grace: When did she leave?

Me: About an hour ago

Grace: So I won't have her on the phone for 11 more hours.

Me: I promise as soon as she lands we will call her

Grace: She never left me alone before

Amelia: How old are you? You've never been alone before?

Grace: No!

Me: Look honey if you wanna spend the day staring at the phone all day it's fine

Amelia: You have to teach her things she is messed up, she grew up without a father and with a crazy mom...

Grace: My mom isn't crazy, she is amazing with me, and with everything else, so you are not allowed to say that. I don't like you!

Amelia: Owen you're letting her talk to me this way?!

Me: Grace please don't talk like that, when you know Amelia, you'll like her

Grace: I don't wanna like her

Amelia: See, she's as arrogant as her mother, thinking she can get Owen back by bringing you here

Owen: That's it Amelia, she's just a kid you can't speak like that to her, please leave

Grace: No she can stay, I wanna go to Meredith's I don't wanna stay here

Amelia: Owen I thought you said she wouldn't change anything in our realtionship, I'm leaving, call me bavk when you realize what you've done

She ran out the door, I looked at Grace, she was smiling

Me: Grace are you happy, you made her mad!

Grace: Hey it's not my fault that your FIANCEE is rude

Me: She's not rude, you're rude, I'll teach you good manners

Grace started to cry, and then I realized what I just said

Me: Oh Honey I'm so sorry I didn't mean to say that

Grace: Well you said it

Me: I know I'm sorry, it's just, I was mad

Grace: Why did you get mad like that?

Me: Grace, it's a long story, you're too young to understand...

The phone started to ring

Me: Yes?
